It starts off as all such organisations do with the desire to help. I meet Richa and Ashish at the Powai chapter of the Robin Hood Army where we discover a shared love of street kids, and similar value systems. We meet almost every Sunday for 2015-2016, 2017 and lead the Powai chapter together .Countless drives and distributions and campaigns later we know we want to do more than just activities while distributing food.Focussed work with a measurable impact in which we delve deeper into their socio economic realities and come up with tailor made solutions for those looking for a way out of urban poverty.
The idea behind MANJHI SKILLING FOUNDATION is to ensure kids start learning vocational skills so that they are employable after school if the need arises.
To do this we will work with children in schools and follow the child’s learning curve, assess interests ,offer vocational courses, career guidance and counselling and offer placements through job fairs eventually.
We will also work with adults to skill them so that they get a permanent earning capacity
