Dignity in Education: Creating Learning Environments That Support Every Child
Every child deserves to learn with dignity.The “Dignity in Education” initiative at Zilla Parishad Primary School, Jambhyacha Pada (Jawhar) and Zilla Parishad Primary School, Bangarchole (Vikramgad), Palghar, is a step towards ensuring that every child has access to a better learning environment and the dignity they deserve.
Supported by the Alsina CSR Fund, the initiative was implemented by Mazi Saheli Charitable Trust and designed & developed by Renovate India, reflecting a shared commitment to creating meaningful and lasting impact in rural communities.
At its core, this initiative is more than just infrastructure. It is about creating a school environment where children feel respected, comfortable, and ready to learn every day.
The intervention focused on:
• Transforming what was once a challenge for students into clean, safe, and accessible washroom facilities
• Supporting children’s health, hygiene, and confidence through improved sanitation infrastructure
• Creating a learning environment that promotes dignity and comfort for students
The outcomes reflect this approach:
• Clean, safe, and accessible washroom facilities established in both schools
• Improved support for students’ health and hygiene needs
• A more comfortable and respectful learning environment for children
• Strengthened access to dignity within the school ecosystem
