Ansuya Ansuya-A vocational training and life skills programme for slum dwelling girls Donation of materials such as paper, thread, needle, paints, etc. also welcome.

Ansuya, meaning ‘learned woman’ in Sanskrit, is an initiative which provides vocational and life skills training to slum-dwelling girls. Our aim is to provide these women with a unique learning opportunity so as to instil in them self-confidence and a general curiosity towards the world. Over and above that, the idea is to help them create an identity of their own by introducing to them a means of

livelihood that they enjoy. Courses Covered:
1) Vocational training:
• Painting
• Stitching
• Embroidery
• Jewellery Making
• Warli painting

2) Life skills training:
• Basic Maths
• Spoken English
• Concept of a Business
• Personality development
• Knowledge about India, its cultural and economic diversity
• General knowledge about the world and India’s foreign relations
