📄✨ Research Published | A Milestone for Otter Conservation

Thrilled to share that our research paper titled
“Distribution of Smooth-coated Otters (Lutrogale perspicillata) in the coastal mangroves of Maharashtra”
has been officially published in the Journal of Threatened Taxa 🦦🌿

This study documents the baseline distribution, habitat use, and encounter signs of Smooth-coated Otters along the Savitri River and Kalinje Mangrove ecosystems, highlighting the critical role of coastal mangroves in otter conservation.
Grateful to collaborate with Manas Manjrekar from the Mangrove Foundation, and thankful to the field teams, local stakeholders, and reviewers who made this work possible.

This is a small but important step toward science-backed conservation and coexistence.
