The Sustainability Forum at GCPRS 2026 continued to serve as a dynamic platform for thought-provoking discussions on the future of plastic recycling and sustainability.

The sessions featured insightful presentations by Mr. Udit Arora on the latest developments surrounding the UN Treaty on Plastics, and Mr. Jan Hanke on the ISCC certification process and its advantages in advancing sustainable practices across the industry.

A highly engaging panel discussion with Ms. Vandana, Director, DCPC, and Mr. Chinmay Dwivedi, Head, BIS Plastics Committee on Standards, sparked lively conversations on the challenges faced by the industry and the role of standards in enabling sustainable growth.

Adding to the discussion, Mr. Arvind Mehta, Chairman, AIPMA Governing Council, highlighted the need for rationalising GST and import duty on recycling machinery to further strengthen and accelerate Indiaโ€™s recycling ecosystem.
