The NSS Unit organized a Bhajan Sandhya to promote cultural harmony, spiritual well-being, and community engagement. The event focused on devotional singing to bring people together and spread positivity and peace. 🕊️

NSS volunteers performed and coordinated bhajans, involving locals and visitors at Churchgate and the Gateway of India. The event included group singing, interactive participation, and spreading awareness about the importance of music in mental wellness and social bonding. 🫂

Anti-Drug Addiction Rally

The NSS Unit organized an Anti-Drug Addiction Rally at Churchgate to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drugs on health, family, and society. The rally aimed to educate the public, especially youth, about living a healthy and drug-free life. 🚫

NSS volunteers participated in the rally holding banners, placards, and posters highlighting the risks of drug abuse. Volunteers interacted with the public, distributed informative pamphlets, and motivated people to take a pledge against drug consumption. The rally helped create a strong visual impact and promoted social awareness. 📢

The Anti-Drug Addiction Rally was a meaningful initiative that empowered volunteers and citizens to fight against drug abuse. It reflected the NSS motto “Not Me But You” and strengthened the commitment toward creating a safe, healthy, and responsible society. 🤝

📢 Swachhata Rally & Cleanliness Drive: Making Borivali Shine! ✨
The spirit of "Not Me But You" was alive and well! 🎉 Our NSS Unit successfully organized a powerful Swachhata Rally and Cleanliness Drive today, 27th June 2025, starting at Borivali Station and its nearby public areas.
Holding high our banners and shouting inspiring slogans, our dedicated volunteers rallied to ignite a fire of awareness about cleanliness, hygiene, and proper waste management within the community.

Following the spirited rally, we rolled up our sleeves for a massive Cleanliness Drive. We collected waste, tidied the streets, and spoke with locals, encouraging everyone to adopt sustainable waste disposal practices.

This initiative truly embodied social responsibility and environmental care. A huge thank you to every volunteer who helped make this day a success and inspired our nation toward a cleaner, healthier future! 🇮🇳🌱

🌊 Beach Cleanliness Drive

The NSS Unit conducted a Mega Beach Cleanliness Drive at Marve Beach, Malad West to promote environmental awareness and protect marine life. The activity aimed to encourage cleanliness, waste segregation, and responsibility towards nature.

NSS volunteers actively participated in collecting waste and cleaning the shoreline. Through this collective effort, around 300 kg of plastic and other waste was removed, helping restore the beach’s cleanliness. The drive helped volunteers understand the importance of environmental protection and the power of community action.

This initiative reflected the spirit of “Not Me But You”, inspiring youth to contribute towards a cleaner and greener nation. 🇮🇳

On the occasion of International Coastal Cleanup Day, the NSS Unit participated in a Mega Beach Cleanliness & Mangrove Protection Drive at Carter Road 🌿 in collaboration with Swacha Wasundhara Abhiyan. The initiative aimed to remove plastic waste, protect mangroves, and preserve the marine ecosystem for a sustainable future.

NSS volunteers actively contributed by collecting plastic, bottles, and beach litter 🗑️. They also interacted with visitors, encouraging them to reduce plastic use and keep beaches clean for the environment and marine life. 🌍

🏡 Visit to Old Age Home

The NSS Unit organized a heartfelt visit to an Old Age Home to spread joy and spend meaningful time with the elderly. 🙂
The visit included a donation drive and a cultural fest filled with songs, dance, skits, and warm interactions.

NSS volunteers interacted with the senior citizens, listened to their life experiences, and presented cultural performances to entertain them. A donation drive was also conducted where clothes, fruits, and groceries were distributed with respect and care. 🎁

This visit built emotional connections 💞 between the volunteers and the elderly, teaching the values of compassion, empathy, and humanity. The event filled the atmosphere with smiles, laughter, and warmth. ✨

The NSS Unit actively participated in the Ganpati Immersion Seva to assist the local community during the 1.5-day, 5-day, and 7-day Ganesh Visarjan. Volunteers helped devotees in carrying out the immersion process smoothly, safely, and with discipline while ensuring cleanliness and environmental care at the Visarjan site. 🌊🛶

Through this initiative, NSS volunteers showcased the true spirit of Seva, Discipline & Responsibility. The activity strengthened the motto of “Not Me But You” and encouraged an eco-friendly and respectful celebration of Ganpati Visarjan. 🌿✨

Spreading Smiles, Shielding Dreams! 🌂🌧️

*UMBRELLA DISTRIBUTION*

On Thursday, 14th August 2025, the NSS Unit of Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce & Science (Autonomous) 🏫
conducted a Donation Drive at Z.P. School, Malpada, Hamrapur Village, Palghar.

☂️ Umbrellas were distributed to students to support them during the rainy season.
🌱 Along with this, organic compost was provided to encourage sustainable practices.

Together, let’s nurture young minds and protect the planet 🌍💚
