Celebrating 4 years of RF(I)T’s partnership with Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Queens Tiara IWC Bombay Queen's Tiara

On 25th July 2026, we were honoured to attend the installation ceremony of IWCQBT’s 2026-27 team, led by their new President, Ms. Bijal Desai. Congratulations to Ms. Bijal and her team , we wish them a wonderful and impactful year ahead!

Our journey with IWCBQT began at our Damunagar centre four years ago, and it has only grown stronger with each passing year. We have worked on various initiatives like Senior Citizen Get-togethers, Bal Umang, Skill Training for Women, Computer Literacy , Mahila Din celebrations etc.

We begin this year with an Enteprenurship Support Initiative to support carefully selected socio- economically vulnerable women trained at RF(I)T’s Community Centres, helping thier journey from skills to sustainable livelihoods.

This support continues to open new doors for women in our community, helping them become self-reliant and move closer to true empowerment.

On behalf of the women we serve and our entire organisation, we thank Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Queens Tiara for believing in our work and standing with us in our journey.

RF(I)T works with youth to build their capacities and skills through various initiatives such as Yuva Saarthi, reflect group process, etc., contributing to their overall development.
As the World celebrates Youth Skills day on 15th July 2026, we share what our community Youth have achieved…
Between May – July 2026, we organized our annual 3 day workshop- Yuva Saarthi , bringing together 35 youth from our communities for Life Skills training, Personality Development & Grooming , Goal setting , Career guidance etc.
13 youth who demonstrated leadership qualities and a willingness to go beyond self were identified and mentored to conduct these sessions for other youth at our 7 community centres in which 147 participated

RF(I)T has been organizing Summer Camps for underprivileged children in Mumbai since 2005.
This year too, we organized 14 Summer Camps in April and May 2026 for around 600 children at our 7 Community Centres in the slums of Mumbai.
The camps were designed to create learning, peer bonding & joyful experiences for children who otherwise do not get these opportunities. Over 10 days, children from the ‘bastis’ of our intervention areas participated in a wide range of activities including Yoga, Environment Sensitization, Cultural Integration, Disability Sensitization, Dance Movement Therapy, Self-Defence and TB Awareness.
The children enjoyed their visit to the Nehru Planetarium and the Discovery of India Exposition. For most it was for the first time!
Interactive activities helped bonding, group work, communication and confidence building. We involved parents and family members through orientation on the first day and to participate in the presentations & sharing by children on last day. The emphasis on daily conversations in the family on the activities at the summer camp added a new dimension to relationships with otherwise remain mostly instructional around ‘to-dos’ from the elders.
Through this initiative, we created opportunities for children to learn, explore and grow, while building awareness around environment, disability inclusion, diverse cultures, yoga, self-defence practices, scientific curiosity and pride in our national heritage.

Across all seven of our community centres, we organized Mahila Din Celebrations in March 2026, bringing together women from our bastis for health awareness, me-time, and celebration.
We began with a talk on menstrual health by our lady doctor, covering topics that matter deeply but are rarely spoken about openly such as reproductive health and hygiene, PCOD awareness, and menopause and its management.
467 women across our centres came together to learn and also had the opportunity to ask their questions.
This was followed by celebrations, which brought together 427 participants comprising women and community stakeholders like Government Health Department staff from Health Posts, police department representatives, NGO partners, Anganwadi workers, and local mandals , each sharing their work and strengthening the ecosystem of support for vulnerable women from our communities.
We also held a quiz session on the health talk to reinforce these important messages, so that participants could retain what they had learned. Games for bonding and peer connect brought laughter and energy to the Celebrations.

On 11th March 2026, on the occasion of Mahila Din we celebrated our women entrepreneurs and community leaders who truly inspire us.
100+ participants came together, walking the talk on this year’s International Women’s Day theme - “Give to Gain”. 29 community women volunteers from our intervention areas in the slums of Mumbai, who are quietly transforming & making communities vibrant and more connected were felicitated with Mahlia Puraskars. When asked to share their journeys, what struck us most wasn’t just what they had done in the communities but also what volunteering had done for them. Their confidence has grown. Their voice has grown. They are showing up for collective good.
35 women Beauticians selected from amongst many trained at our Community Centres received Professional Beautician Entrepreneurship Kits, giving them the tools to grow their businesses from home, build financial independence and craft their own futures on their own terms. Because when a woman grows, not only her family, but the community around grows with her.
This event would not have been possible without the support of Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Queen’s Tiara , especially Ms. Gopika, Ms. Jigna and Ms. Bijal, who graced the occasion. Mr.Mayur Nayak represented the Bombay Chartered Accountants Society ( BCAS), which has supported our women’s skilling initiatives. Mr. Ramkumar, represented Finolex Pipes & Fittings CSR partner Mukul Madhav Foundation, which supports our community development initiatives with children, youth and senior citizens

Earlier this month, Financial Literacy Sessions were organised in association with Nasree Monjee college of commerce and economics under their NM Finance and Investment Cell ( NMFIC) under their flagship initiative at Project Pragati . 329 Women Participated across our 7 community centers in Mumbai. We thank NM Finance and Investment cell for conducting these sessions for our community women . .

A much-needed day out for our Ashaiyein Parivaar Senior Citizen aunties.
120 participants including our aunties team and volunteers, spent a joyful day at the resort , playing games , enjoying in pool , sharing stories and bonding with fellow aunties, volunteers and Team. Our Aunties enjoyed the day! We Thank our partner Mukul Madhav Foundation and Finolex Pipes & Fittings CSR for their continued support
