Mr. Namit Vanmali and Ms. Ruqueya Shaikh from Rangoonwala Foundation (India) Trust were invited by Pratham, Ngo to be part of their Pratham Library Project Social Audit at their intervention area in technical area, Marol Piple line , Mumbai Maharashtra. It was a good experience to interact with children, parents and volunteers involved in the project.

RF(I)T’s : Bal Utsav 2025
On 29th November 2025, more than 1300, including 900 children gathered for Bal Utsav on the theme of Gender Sensitization.

Activities conducted -
- Projects and Cultural Performances on the theme by Children
- ⁠Health Awareness on T. B & Chronic Kidney Disease
- ⁠Self Defense activities
- ⁠Disability Sensitization And Games
- Cultural performance by Senior Citizens etc

We thank Finolex Pipes & Fittings , CSR partner - Mukul Madhav Foundation, Judges , participating organizations such as Hellen Keller Institute for Deaf and Deaf Blind , Mumbai , All India Shotokan Karate Do Federation, National T.B Elimination Program (NTEP), Schools and volunteers for making this happen !

170 children from our seven community centers put up powerful projects focused on Gender Sensitization early this month.
The children presented their models and spoke with clarity, directly addressing gender stereotypes and sharing the essential message that equality knows no gender. Even more impressively, they bravely presented to community members, bringing critical conversation and discussion right into the community. We also celebrated childrens efforts through our certificate distribuition program across centers. The Winners from each centers will present their project at our Bal Utsav in Novemeber so , Stay tuned!

We recently concluded our beautician training for women at two centers creating opportunities to gain financial independence and build their own path to success !

This Ganeshotsav, RF(I)T led a Tuberculosis (TB) awareness campaign at Ganesh Mandals across our 7 intervention areas of community centers in Mumbai i.e Andheri ,
Jogeshwari , Malad & Kandivali. Through this campaign, we engaged communities on
✅Prevention
✅ Recognizing symptoms
✅ Steps to take when symptoms appear
✅ Accessing treatment
✅ Busting common myths

This impactful initiative provide powerful platform for community learning there by building informed, resilient communities. We thank our Ganesh Mandal of our intervention areas for giving us this platform over the years to spread awareness & team and community volunteers for working towards ending TB.

On 12th July 2025, we organized online safety Awareness training for our team and volunteers in association with Rati Foundation.The session covered important topics such as understanding online risks to understanding behaviour of a perpetrator. We also delved into the experiences of victims and learned crucial steps to protect ourselves and report cases. A total of 74 participants attended the training.

A big thank you to Uma & team from Rati Foundation for conducting eye opening & insightful session.

RF(I)T recently hosted a Powerful Training of Trainers on Gender Sensitization!
With 45 passionate participants, including our dedicated volunteers and team members, the session focused on raising awareness about gender and recognizing everyday biases we often overlook.

Through interactive games, stories, and case studies, participants explored gender equality and sensitivity and found them not just eye-opening, but deeply engaging.

Our participants are now inspired and excited to take this training back into their communities and conduct these sessions with children through Bal Umang sessions in centers and in communities.

We thank our incredible facilitator Ms. Neelu Grover and our valued partner Mukul Madhav Foundation for their continued support in bringing gender sensitization to the grassroots.
