A Journey of Courage, Resilience, and Transformation — Bal Palika Teacher (BPT) Training Programme | Academic Batch 2024–2025
A year ago, many of these women had never imagined standing confidently on a stage as graduates. The Valedictory Programme for the 2024–2025 academic batch marked a deeply moving milestone filled with pride, gratitude, and celebration.

When the journey began, 22 women stepped forward with hope and aspiration. For many, this was not just a training programme—it was the beginning of a new world of learning, confidence, and opportunity. The path, however, was not easy. Balancing family responsibilities, navigating social barriers, and overcoming personal struggles demanded immense strength and perseverance.

Yet, 16 determined women stayed the course. With courage in their hearts and determination in their minds, they continued to show up, learn, grow, and believe in themselves.

Each class attended, each lesson learned, and each challenge overcome became a stepping stone toward transformation. Today, these women stand tall—not just as trainees who completed a course, but as confident and empowered women ready to stand on their own feet. Equipped with new skills, renewed confidence, and a strong sense of purpose, they are prepared to step forward and create meaningful change in their lives and in the communities they serve.

Many trainees expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity, sharing that the programme gave them not only knowledge and skills but also the confidence to believe in themselves and dream bigger for their futures.

Mumbai Mobile Creches proudly celebrates their inspiring journey. Their success is not only a personal achievement but also a powerful reminder of what determination, opportunity, and support can make possible.

These women have truly passed out with flying colours—and their journey has only just begun.

Mumbai Mobile Creches hosted two magical days of its Annual Puppet Exhibition on January 16–17, 2026, themed “Hear My Voice, See My World – Through Puppets and Stories!” (सुनो मेरी आवाज़, देखो मेरी दुनिया – कहानियों और कठपुतलियों के संग)

The exhibition was a vibrant celebration of children’s creativity, confidence, and storytelling skills — where little hands create BIG stories! Puppets crafted from recycled materials by our little ones stole the spotlight, showcasing imagination and talent that goes beyond words.

A delightful puppet performance by teachers and children added sparkle to the event, highlighting the joy of learning through art.

The exhibition was inaugurated by our special guest Ms. Shobha Shelar, District Women & Child Development Officer, along with our Director Mrs. Nalini Chhugani.

We were honored to welcome over 60 guests from corporates, organizations, and colleges. Your support and encouragement make events like these possible, reinforcing our belief that creative platforms empower children, amplify their voices, and drive our mission forward.

Our 11th Puppet Week – Hear My Voice, See My World – Through Puppets & Stories! (सुनो मेरी आवाज़, देखो मेरी दुनिया — कहानियों और कठपुतलियों के संग) showcased the power of puppet storytelling, engaging guests and communities alike.
From joyful Prabhat Pheris to lively puppet shows and colourful exhibitions, our centres resonated with children’s voices, stories, and creativity. Every puppet and every narrative was thoughtfully created by the children themselves, with gentle guidance from our teachers.

Through this process, children discovered a safe and joyful space to express their ideas, emotions, and lived experiences. What unfolded this week was more than an activity. It became a powerful space for learning, self-expression, confidence-building, and imagination.

None of this would be possible without the continued support of our donors and partners. We are deeply grateful to them for enabling meaningful, enriching experiences for children every day.

Together, we nurture creativity and give children the freedom to be heard.

Early Literacy: Bridging Learning Gaps, Shaping Futures

As every year, Book Week once again filled our centres with stories, colours, and joyful learning, buzzing with excitement. Children proudly stepped into the role of little news anchors, confidently sharing daily “news,” while art-based activities gave them the freedom to express their ideas and imagination.

Carefully selected books, thoughtfully grouped by age, helped every child discover stories in ways that felt both exciting and accessible.

At Mumbai Mobile Creches, these early encounters with books do more than teach reading—they nurture confidence, creativity, and curiosity, especially for children from migrant families and allied industries who often have limited access to such opportunities. This early exposure helps bridge learning gaps and promote equitable access to quality early learning experiences.

Each story shared this week brings us one step closer to a brighter, more hopeful future for every child.

Beyond the Board : Smart Moves Today. Strong Futures Tomorrow.

MMC’s Children’s Day celebration took a meaningful turn this year with a two-day Chess Tournament in collaboration with Little Master Chess Academy.

Our young champions proved that strategy, courage, and confidence can take them anywhere. They didn’t just celebrate Children’s Day — they conquered it!

Across two exciting days (November 14th & 15th), 100 children from construction sites battled it out on the chessboard. Coach Mr. Nasim Akhtar applauded their remarkable growth, discipline, and sharp thinking.

With three thrilling rounds, brilliant strategies, and unstoppable enthusiasm, the energy was electric!
8 outstanding players lifted trophies, and every child walked away a winner — with certificates, pride, learning, and joy.

A purposeful initiative creating opportunities where children can think critically, build confidence, and truly thrive.

For children growing up on construction sites, this moment is about so much more than books and blackboards. It’s a doorway to discovery, friendships, and dreams far beyond the blue tin walls that surround their everyday lives.

We are thrilled to announce the 10th Annual Puppet Festival 2025! This week-long celebration will take place from January 13 to 18, 2025, across all our centers. This cherished tradition continues to ignite creativity, celebrate puppetry, and bring joy to everyone involved!

This year's theme is “न्यारा प्यारा कठपुतलियो का खेल, एम.एम.सी. संग रिश्तो के मेल” (Our Unique and Lovely Puppet Show: Cherishing Bonds with MMC!).

In MMC puppet making has always been a longstanding tradition, where our teachers always used puppets as a valuable teaching aid for years. The use of puppets adds a natural and fun extension to a child's learning process and helps the child develop social, creative, and communication skills.

It will be a wonderful week filled with beautiful puppets and artwork created by our children. Our children and teachers will also perform puppet shows during the puppet festival.

Our children have put their hearts into making the puppets, and they'd love to have you witness it with them.

At MMC, one of our unique library programs is "Buddy Reading," conducted on alternate days across MMC models. This program not only engages children with innovative activities but also fosters a love for reading and helps younger children improve their reading skills. In this program, older children pair with younger children to read stories one-on-one. The older children patiently conduct reading activities with the younger ones, helping them understand the story while also building their reading skills and vocabulary. The Buddy Reading program not only enhances the skills of the younger children but also shapes the older children. They develop mentorship qualities, patience, empathy, and a sense of care for others. The Buddy Reading program is most loved by our children across all MMC models.
