CII Yi K J Somaiya Institute of Management The official CII-Yi Committee of K J Somaiya Institute of Management, Mumbai Young Indians ("Yi") was founded in December 2002.

It is an integral part of CII and comprises of a group of young Indian achievers and professionals below the age of 40 years from various walks of life. Yi believes that young Indians can contribute to the community and society at large. Yi is a forum that focuses on issues of national importance and motivates a generational change in the economic and social agenda of India. Yi activities

ent Yi takes up socially responsible and development projects in the areas such as Education, Employability, Environment and Healthcare. Facilitates youth to unleash their potential and create a positive impact. Promotes knowledge sharing, leadership, networking and skill set development amongst its members
Presently, Yi has 14 Chapters across the country with a membership of approximately 700. In addition, another around 2000 students are engaged with 30 Yi Nets all over India. Yi has started building international linkages such as taking young CEO's Mission to overseas countries and undertaking joint projects with the Family Business Networks. Further, it has partnered with the BMW Foundation to conduct 3 Annual Indo-German Young Leaders' Forums. The aim of Yi is to ultimately create a movement encompassing diverse sections of the young society with a strong business organization (CII) as the backbone and reaching out to community stakeholders, tomorrow's leaders and most importantly playing a role in establishing their future
