This is the official page of IIT Bombay Racing Innovation and experimentation are the key drivers in our quest for excellence.

IIT Bombay Racing is a student organization built with a vision to pioneer development and deployment of innovative technologies in the Indian Automobile Sector. 60+ students with a formal 3-tier team structure spread across various disciplines are united by a common ambition of being at the forefront of global student motorsports. We design, engineer and race our vehicles at SAE Collegiate Design

Competitions like the Formula Student. Our achievements over the past ten years stand testament to our engineering prowess. The team has always operated independently, transferring the knowledge obtained from year to year.

On our way to making the driverless car a reality in our team, odometry is an important factor through which our advanced algorithms run.

For more than 15 years, SBG Systems have been manufacturing high-end inertial navigation sensors with wide ranging applications. This technology combined with their commitment to reliability and innovative development to modern navigational software offers customers miniature and low-cost solutions while maintaining performance at a very high level.

Our ever lasting pact with Ansys continues through another season as they provide us with their easily comprehensible software, for us to come up with solutions through their engineering simulations. We optimise our designs through structural, thermal, CFD and EM tools that they help us with.

75 years of Independence truly means something, it is a reminder of our glorious past, the sacrifices and the suffering, the success and the splendour. Let this day be an inspiration to each of us, remind us about where we stand and commemorate those gone by.

And to show gratitude to our country and our people, we will do whatever little we can. We promise to never back down and keep the tricolour always flying high. 🇮🇳

With another year quickly passing by, we have now come to an end to the previous season. Last year was a year of many firsts, our entire team had finally consolidated after the long hiatus of COVID and were finally able to participate in events with the car.

But like with all endings, this is just another new beginning, it is now time to put into use our learnings for the upcoming season, a time, not to look back but a time, to look forward with great hope in what lies ahead.

We wish ourselves and other formula student teams good wishes for their teams and cars and are as eager as ever to compete and learn from one another.

2022-2023, here we go!!!
