Dear Friends,

My Managing Committee and I would like to thank you all for the outpouring of love, affection, appreciation & support at the Velim Carnival 2026. It was very heartening to see the young & old enjoying themselves on the dance floor. Every one present seemed to be having a blast. The videos, pictures & messsages pouring in, bear testimony to a rocking time. We are overwhelmed!!

We will soon put together a digital brochure “Memories of Carnival 2026” so that these can be cherished by those who attended, as well as those who could not make it.

Personally, I am richer with many more friends and the same sentiment was resounding with our Managing Committee and others present in the hall.

The baton passed on from Nostalgia 2025 to Carnival 2026, as we look forward to Viva Velim 2027, when we celebrate the Silver jubilee of our Welfare Centre in Velim, Goa. More of that later. For now, simply relish the great time we all celebrated together as one big Velim family.

Dear Members,

The preparation for our Social - ‘Velim Carnival 2026’ gets us all very nostalgic about our last year’s Social where we networked, caught up with old friends & made new friends. The sudden appearance of our “Velim King” at last year’s Social, caught us all by surprise. Those who attended last year, will relate to the surprise element last year.

Velim Carnival 2026 provides that opportunity to bring back the roar of laughter as the young & not so young parents & children from our own small Goan community mix together in a rare blend of fun. It promises to be an afternoon full of fun, hep music, networking & great Goan food.

The countdown to our social has truly begun and we are all excited to meet up with you once again. We had a ball of a time last year with our youth and ‘not so old at heart’ Members having a blast together. This year, with the Carnival theme, it is expected be a riot of colours. Pull out your most colourful / floral and stunning bright outfits and get ready to have a blast. You may also carry carnival gears & props to add to the excitement.
