ble tourism development affecting global tourism scenario like tourism impacts, climate change, carbon footprint, safety and security, hazard and disaster management, visitor management, universal accessibility etc. Susthira has become the first and presently the only authorized representative organization to operate ‘Green Destinations’ awards and certification program (which is the highest global benchmark for a tourism destination) in the Indian Sub-continent. The organization also functions as the Asia Pacific Chapter of International Society for Sustainable Globalization (ISSG) constituted under University of Wisconsin Parkside, Illinois, US, which acts as a thinktank and knowledge sharing platform for sustainable development.
