Acid Survivor Saahas Foundation - ASSF ASSF is an initiative that was started in 2016 by Mrs. Daulat Bi Khan. She was the victim of an acid

Current compensation for acid attack survivors, typically ₹1–10 lakh, falls far short of reality. A single reconstructive surgery alone can cost ₹4–5 lakh, and most survivors require several procedures over many years. The financial burden extends beyond hospital bills to mental health care, rehabilitation, and the basic need for dignified employment.

Team ASSF calls on the government to revise compensation to match actual treatment costs. We also advocate for comprehensive survivor support: assured job opportunities, vocational training, disability entitlements, and access to all required medical care.

Justice means more than survival. Survivors deserve the resources to truly rebuild their lives.

We appeal to acid attack survivors regarding the following:

"If a person cannot help himself, then what can help expect from others? And then they show false sympathy, saying 'we are acid victims, we are acid victims.' But when someone comes forward to support them, why don’t they step up? When they are asked for their FIR copy, when documents are asked from them, they refuse to give them. And then they say the government is bad, the NGO is bad — you blame everyone. But when someone actually comes to help you and you yourself don’t want to take that help, then you cannot blame anyone else."

Thank you.

The government gives compensation of one
lakh or ten lakh rupees, but that's not enough.
The government should give more
compensation because each surgery costs
around four to five lakh. So the ASSF team
appeals to the government to provide as
much compensation as possible for acid
attack victims, and give them all the facilities
you can-jobs, everything. That's all.
Thank you. 🙏

Dear Donor,

You’ll never meet most of the survivors you help. But today, because of you, one of them met hope in an operating room.

Your donation became skilled hands, medicines, bandages, and a chance to look at the world without hiding.

Acid attack survivors don’t just need surgery. They need to know someone out there cares. That’s you.

Thank you for choosing to stand with them when it was easier to look away.
Thank you for funding healing and please continue to fund us.

With gratitude,
*Acid Survivors Saahas Foundation*

Happy Mother’s Day to a real-life hero.

She is an acid attack survivor.
Yet every term, she finds a way to pay her children’s school fees — even if it means reaching out to us at Acid Survivors Saahas Foundation.

Even after an acid attack tried to break you, you refused to let it break your children’s future. You stood tall, asked for help when you had to, and made sure their school fees were paid. That is not a weakness. That is the fiercest kind of love.

Acid Survivors Saahas Foundation is proud to stand with mothers like you — who fight pain every morning and still pack tiffins, check homework, and dream bigger for their kids.

She teaches us that motherhood isn’t about having an unscarred face. It’s about having an unbreakable spirit.

To every mother who fights pain, stigma, and poverty just to keep her child in school — we see you. We honor you. We stand with you.

Your love is louder than any attack.
Your strength is the best lesson your children will ever learn.

*This Mother’s Day, we salute you.*
With respect,
_Team Acid Survivors Saahas Foundation_

"When will they finally live freely? When will they get relief?"

For acid attack survivors, the pain doesn't end with the attack. The real struggle begins after.

They fight in courts for years waiting for justice. They deal with police who often delay or dismiss their cases. They endure multiple painful surgeries in hospitals, spending months in recovery. And then society — stares, whispers, rejection, and isolation.

Every single day is a battle. A battle to get medical treatment, a battle for legal justice, and a battle to simply be accepted as human again.

So we ask: When will they be free from this endless cycle? When will they breathe without fear, live without shame, and get the relief they deserve?

This is where you come in.

At *Acid Survivors Saahas Foundation*, we stand with survivors through their surgeries, legal cases, counseling, and rehabilitation. But we cannot do it alone.

Your support gives them a chance at justice, dignity, and a new life. Donate, volunteer, share their story. Help us answer their question — help us give them relief.

Because no survivor should have to keep asking, "Kab humko justice milega", "Kab humko relief milega?"

*Happy Maharashtra Day from the team of ASSF*

First, a huge thank you to our donors from Team Acid Survivors Saahas Foundation and the acid victims. Because of you (donors), survivors are getting back-to-back surgeries.

We’re also grateful to the hospitals and doctors who perform these surgeries so well without charging high fees. Please keep them in your prayers.

We need more people to join us. Your support helps survivors get treatment and rebuild their lives.

Thank you.

Acid Survivors Saahas Foundation helped an acid attack victim, Deepika, for her daughter’s education. We’re able to do all of this only because of donors.

We are deeply grateful to every donor who stepped forward and support us. We request your continued help in the future, so we can keep reaching the victims who need it most.

Together, you and we can make this change happen.

Thank you.
