Rotary Deonar in association with the National Burns Center presents an evening of Kishore Kumar songs and memories
On April 18, 2026 at the Swatantryaveer Savarkar Auditorium, Shivaji Partk, Mumbai - In support of three causes for human and environmental betterment
Cause 1: Touching Little Hearts : Supporting Paediatric Heart Surgeries - A RI Distict 3141 initiative since 2012
Cause 2: Mission Aasra - the next step - To rehabiliate burns survivors who have been treated under Operation Restore - non-cosmetic surgeries for Burns Survivors - to help them integrate seamlessly into the society
Cause 3: Protecting, Propogating and Conserving our Mangroves, around Mumbai and coastal Maharashtra

the much awaited and delayed OCV was a big Hit, and the very appreciative and encouraging talk by DG Dr Manish Motwani and everyone who attended have been left with good memories of an evening to revel in for some time to come.You had the privilege to welcome our District Governor for his Official Club Visit on the evening of 31stMarch and we agree that the meeting witnessed a warm fellowship with an attendance of 87 members and guests, including our P*S, reflecting the vibrant spirit of our club.In his address, the District Governor spoke with great appreciation of your efforts, commending the inspiring leadership and the enthusiastic support of the Board of Directors. He especially congratulated the club for its impactful initiatives, notably the Pink Auto Project, which empowers women through training as auto drivers, 300 women at last count have registered, and the club’s dedicated efforts towards Saving Mumbai’s Mangroves, a CSR initiative with the Mangrove foundation of Maharashtra, among other sustained projects like TLH, Op Restore, Happy School etc. all of which exemplify Rotary Deonar's commitment to service and sustainability.Adding a personal and endearing touch to the evening, the District Governor addressed several members by their first names, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere that resonated with everyone present. The felicitation of our beloved PRID Raju, for being elected to the COL at RI and Dr Usha Desai as one of the prime contributors to our club's initiatives over the years, being the club's First Lady President is a badge of honour in itself.The BOD meeting with DG was conducted in accordance with the prescribed format, and all scheduled interactions, including separate meetings with the Partners in Service, were smoothly organised and adhered to Hats off to both Gunjan and you as you worked hard to bring this OCV to fruition

The evening concluded on a note of encouragement and pride, with the District Governor expressing his appreciation for the club’s dynamic service initiatives and the strong sense of fellowship that defines the Rotary Club of Deonar.Thanks for leading our club to good recognition this RY.

Women Empowerment - a journey taken up by our club. We help women in and around our locality and beyond by training them to drive an Autorickshaw and also help them with financing of a new vehicle once their training is complete. The 42 women whom our club with partner clubs, has helped so far as a testimony to the success of our initiative.

As a part of our outreach programme into the heartland of Karjat Taluka our club members aka Rodeos spent an entire day at Shelu, Humgaon and a couple of more villages on Saturday the 20Th September.
Apart from Cancer check up of women folk there our club installed R O systems at two spots in these villages for pure drinking water
Under the leadership of Pres Alka Murli and our village project champion Shelu Naresh Rtn Kannan V we accomplished these initiatives with support from Rtn Dr Raguram Ganesan and his wife Dr Anuradha with her team of lady doctors

A small step towards making lives better for a part of the community.
