15 Years Old. Limitless Courage. The Extraordinary Journey of Keya Hatkar

Born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a rare and progressive genetic condition, Keya has faced immense physical challenges from the very beginning. Yet at just 15 years of age, she has transformed adversity into action and purpose into power.

A recipient of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2024, India’s highest civilian honour for children, Keya is a three-time bestselling author, TEDx speaker, global disability inclusion advocate, artist, coder, and podcaster. Through her initiatives I M Possible & SMAART (IMPS) and SMAARTR, she empowers rare disease warriors and artists across India with dignity, voice, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

She does not speak about limitations. She speaks about belief, empathy, courage, and kindness.
