There was a time when Ganesh thought he might have to give up on his education.

Coming from Nalgonda, Telangana, Choppari Ganesh was struggling to manage his college and hostel fees while pursuing higher education. The financial stress became so overwhelming that he was even denied permission to appear for his internal exams.

Along with these challenges, Ganesh was also quietly dealing with anxiety, worrying about his studies, his future and the pressure on his family.

That’s when scholarship support came as a turning point in his life.

The scholarship helped cover his college and hostel expenses, easing the financial burden on his family and giving Ganesh the chance to continue studying without constant stress.

Slowly, things began to change.

Instead of worrying about how to pay his fees, Ganesh could focus on his academics and work towards his goals with confidence and hope.

Despite everything he faced, he continued to work hard and graduated with an impressive 8.5 CGPA.

“This support from Concern India Foundation meant everything to me. It reduced my financial burden and allowed me to continue my education without stress. It gave me confidence, hope and a chance to focus on my goals. Because of this support, I am able to work towards a better future for myself and my family.”

Ganesh’s story reminds us that sometimes, a little support at the right time can help someone keep their dreams alive.

"I dream of becoming an engineer, but with limited family income and siblings to support, I often wondered if my dreams were too expensive to pursue."
For Makkala Naga Sonali from Khammam, Telangana, this wasn’t just a thought - it was a constant reality.

Coming from a household with a monthly income of ₹12,000, every educational expense felt like a burden on the family. Tuition fees, mess charges and study materials each cost added to the quiet pressure of whether she could continue her engineering journey without putting her family under strain.

Despite being a bright student, her biggest challenge wasn’t academics. It was affordability.

With timely support from the Concern India Foundation, she received a scholarship to support her academic pursuits. The scholarship covered key expenses like mess fees and part of her tuition, easing the financial pressure during the most critical years of her degree.

Without the constant burden of financial stress, Makkala was finally able to focus wholeheartedly on her studies. Her hard work and determination reflected in her outstanding academic performance, as she graduated with an impressive 8.92 CGPA.

Today, she is taking confident steps towards her professional journey and has recently interviewed for the Infosys Springboard Internship — a significant milestone towards building her career in technology.

But the impact went beyond academics. Mentorship and guidance helped her navigate placements with greater confidence, preparing her for the next step in her journey.

Today, Makkala stands ready to begin her career in the technology field—confident, capable, and hopeful. A once unaffordable dream now sits within reach.

When opportunity meets the right support, lives change.

Together with HSBC India, we’ve completed another year of our Bengaluru programme, enabling underprivileged women to train, qualify, and become micro-entrepreneurs driving their own EV autos.

Together with our on-ground partner, we mobilised through field visits, door-to-door outreach, and awareness sessions; this cohort is helping reduce emissions while reshaping what “work” can look like for women. Real financial independence for families and momentum to break intergenerational poverty cycles

Here’s to more women in the driver’s seat—literally and economically. Sustainable jobs. Cleaner cities. Stronger futures.

With the support of SBICAPS, the Public Health Centre (PHC) at Vaitarna is now ready to begin full operations, marking an important step toward strengthening rural healthcare in Nashik. Once held back by critical infrastructure gaps, the facility has been comprehensively upgraded through key civil and electrical works, along with the provision of essential medical equipment and furniture.

Serving 14 villages, a population of approximately 19,623, and an average monthly footfall of around 1,200 patients, this PHC is set to become a vital access point for quality healthcare.

The handover of this upgraded facility is not just about infrastructure; it represents improved last-mile access to healthcare and a stronger, more resilient community health system for the people of Vaitarna.

We don't plant trees for ourselves.
We plant them for people we'll never meet.

That's exactly what Xoriant volunteers chose to do on March 31st, 2026.

At Ghata Village, Gurugram, they planted 100 tree saplings: Sheesham, Karanj, Sehtoot, Arjun, Kushum, Belpather, Banyan, Chilbil, and Kachnar, each one a living time capsule of care.

Some of these trees will outlive all of us.
They'll provide shade to strangers, shelter to birds, and clean air to children not yet born.
This initiative not only contributes to a healthier ecosystem but also reflects the power of collective action in addressing climate change.

Earth Day is a reminder of responsibility.
A time to reflect on the impact we have had, and the action we continue to take to restore what’s been lost.

From healing ecosystems to supporting communities most affected, every step forward matters.
Because restoring the Earth is not only about the planet, it is about people, livelihoods and our shared future.

Where the land once met the sea, today the sea is slowly taking over.
In parts of Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district, rising sea levels, cyclones and saltwater intrusion have pushed entire village boundaries below sea level. Farmlands have turned barren, livelihoods have been disrupted, and many families are left to adapt to a difficult lifestyle or abandon their land.
But change is taking root again.
In partnership with DCB Bank, Concern India Foundation is working to restore mangroves, protecting land that once stood vulnerable to harsh sea conditions. Across 50 hectares, degraded coastal land is being brought back to life. So far, 30 hectares have been prepared for plantation, and over 15,000 seeds are being nurtured in newly established nurseries.
This project is community resilience in action.
Villagers are actively involved at every step, from preparing the land to growing saplings, building a sense of ownership that ensures long-term impact.
Mangroves will not only act as a natural shield against cyclones and rising seas, but also help restore balance, supporting biodiversity, improving soil health and opening up climate-resilient livelihood opportunities for both farmers and landless communities.

This World Health Day, let’s revisit what sustains us all.

A nation’s progress is deeply tied to the strength of its healthcare system. In India, access, affordability, and timely care continue to remain critical challenges, especially in rural and underserved regions.

At Concern India Foundation, we work to bridge these gaps at the front lines.
- We provide ambulance support in remote areas and equip these ambulances with essential, life-saving tools.
- We run regular health camps in rural communities where early diagnosis is helping prevent illnesses from becoming life-threatening.
- We strengthen Primary Health Centres (PHCs) to build community trust, empower healthcare workers, and encourage more people to seek timely care.

In Igatpuri block, for instance, a newly rebuilt Primary Health Centre remained non-functional despite efforts by the Nashik Health Department — leaving surrounding villages without access and forcing healthcare workers to continue operating from sub-centres. We stepped in to strengthen the infrastructure through paver block installation, internal electrification, and the supply of critical medical equipment. Today, this centre positively impacts 14 villages with a combined population of approximately 19,623 people, and is equipped to handle a monthly footfall of over 1,200 patients.

This World Health Day, we invite corporations to partner with us through CSR initiatives that go the distance and enable healthcare at the last mile.
