Technology-led progress is often spoken about through the lens of scale, infrastructure and advanced systems. Sameer Misra’s journey adds another layer to that conversation — access.

As an SBI Youth for India Alumnus, Sameer’s work has continued to grow at the intersection of STEM education, access and grassroots innovation. The Fellowship became the starting point for a direction he continued to build through NavKaushal, making practical, innovation-led learning more accessible for children from underserved communities.

As NavKaushal’s work grew, so did the recognition around it. From NITI Aayog’s appreciation for Atal Tinkering Lab efforts and a UNESCO MGIEP feature, to SME 30 Under 30 recognition, each milestone added visibility to a model rooted in access and learning.

One of the strongest reflections of its impact came from the students themselves, including a student-led innovation recognised under INSPIRE Awards – MANAK.

Most recently, NavKaushal represented India at TechFest Vietnam 2025 through the Startup Flight Program, securing Runner-up in the EdTech category and ranking 4th overall.

Sameer’s journey reflects what long-term impact can look like when field exposure does not end as an experience, but continues to shape the work one chooses to build.

Introducing YFI Maadhyam, a learning space for SBI Youth for India Fellows to pause, reflect, and deepen their understanding of the work they are part of.

In Session 1, our Fellows explored the Theory of Change, an approach that helps structure how ideas translate into meaningful, measurable impact.

Facilitated by Ms. Sanchita Mitra (National Coordinator, SEWA Bharat), the session brought together frameworks, discussions, and real field challenges, enabling Fellows to better design, evaluate, and strengthen their interventions with rural communities.

Because creating change isn’t just about intent. It’s about understanding how ideas can lead to real impact.

The right opportunity can take you to places you had never imagined for yourself.

For Shuvajit Payne, what began in economics and finance gradually opened into a much wider journey, from the corporate world to over 15 years in the development sector, across teaching, training, and programme leadership. The SBI Youth for India Fellowship became an important part of that journey, shaping a path that continued to grow in many directions.

Today, he leads ImpactOnus, a learning and content consultancy that collaborates with grassroots and marginalised individuals.

If you have been waiting for the right moment to choose something more meaningful, this is your sign to take that step.

At SBI YFI Sahyog: The Pitch Fest, ideas are not just presented. They are challenged, strengthened, and recognised for the impact they hold.

This year’s winning ventures stood out for the thought, purpose, and lived understanding behind their work, reminding us that some of the most meaningful ideas are the ones rooted in real experience and built to keep growing.

Congratulations to all the winners of SBI YFI Sahyog: The Pitch Fest at the SBI Youth for India Conclave 2026: Mr. Shashank Singh, Mr. Nitesh Bhardwaj, Ms. Priya Madig, Ms. Paoni Patidar, Ms. Khushboo, Mr. Laukesh Jaiswal.

What changes when rural voices lead the narrative?

This fireside chat brings together perspectives from journalism, independent storytelling, and the SBI YFI ecosystem to explore how rural stories are told, who gets to tell them, and what becomes possible when representation is more grounded, nuanced, and led by lived realities.

Join us for a conversation on Amplifying Rural Voices in a Changing Media Landscape.

A space where social entrepreneurs from the SBI YFI ecosystem step back from the work they do every day to reflect, rework, and present their ventures with greater clarity. More than a pitch, it becomes a moment to revisit impact, exchange knowledge, and learn from a community that understands the journey.

Because at the Conclave, Fellowship journeys do not just reunite. They continue to grow.
