EdelGive Foundation

EdelGive Foundation Change takes strategy and consistency. We partner grassroots NGOs that know local realities and connect them with resource givers.

Over 17 years, we have influenced ₹1300 Cr, supporting ~300 NGOs across 167 districts. We believe in EdelGive Foundation is a grant-making organisation, working towards expanding the ecosystem of philanthropy in India by funding and supporting high-calibre, small to mid-sized organisations working towards empowering children through education, women through social and economic em

powerment and vulnerable communities through resilient livelihoods. Our unique philanthropic model places at the centre of grant-making by providing the initial grants and by managing funding from other institutional and corporate partners, at zero cost. Our grants are used for both financial and non-financial needs of the organisations we support. Apart from adding capacities and scale, grants are used to build operating capabilities of these organisations. EdelGive Foundation believes that impact should be targeted and exponential in nature. Every contribution of EdelGive, pooled with contributions of other large organisations, and supported by capacity building, should yield asymmetric impact for our organisations.

Growth is rarely a straightforward path. It’s shaped by constant adaptation, learning, and catalysed by the ability to stay steady and strong through unexpected change.

For many grassroots organisations, this means strengthening internal systems, building leadership capacity, fostering crucial skills, and creating structures that can support their work and purpose over time.

Our partnerships are rooted in enabling organisations to grow with clarity and resilience, while continuing to respond to the needs of the communities they serve. For us, building strong foundations ensures real change, that lasts.

Ajay and Swati Piramal join Naghma Mulla on Give It A Go to reflect on the true meaning of ‘Seva Bhav’.

Mr. Piramal shares that ‘Seva Bhav’ lies in finding joy in serving others as equals, where there is no hierarchy between the one who gives and the one who receives. Drawing a powerful parallel to a mother’s unconditional care, he reminds us that real impact begins with empathy and intention, when we give not simply out of charity, but out of love.

The Artemis II mission gave us a clearer and more updated image of our planet, but one thing hasn’t changed. It’s all we’ve got.

So it falls to us to act in its best interest, to protect all life, to harness resources with responsibility and treat its people with compassion.

This Earth Day, let’s remember to cherish our only home and work together to make it a place where its caretakers have the skills and resources to preserve it for generations to come

In India, funding for NGOs has often been tied to specific programmes, with strict deliverables and limited flexibility. While this approach supports defined activities, it can also constrain an organisation’s ability to adapt, strengthen internal systems, or invest in long-term growth.

Trust-based funding takes a broader view. It supports the organisation beyond individual projects, enabling leadership to allocate resources where they are most needed, whether that is strengthening governance, building team capacity, improving financial resilience, or responding to emerging community needs.

At EdelGive, we see trust not as a risk, but as a catalyst. When organisations are trusted with flexible, multi-year support, they are better equipped to create sustained, meaningful impact for the communities they serve.

Women are in more positions of power than ever—but what should they keep in mind as they grow?

In our latest episode, Dr. Swati Piramal answers this by quoting a powerful insight from Melinda Gates and highlights a selfless but dangerous pattern: women often prioritize the nutrition and health of their families while neglecting their own.

True growth means changing this narrative. It's about building a 'Sangat'—a community where women uplift one another to ensure their needs and voices are heard in every field, from the boardroom to public health.
