Project: Animal Welfare Project 2025–26

A visit was made today to Empathy Unlimited Welfare Foundation, an animal shelter in Dombivli, in connection with the implementation of the Animal Welfare Project 2025–26. Accompanied by First Lady Manisha Ruia, Rtn Nikhil Rajpuria, and Rtn Deepak Agarwal , the visit highlighted the shelter’s ongoing efforts to care for over 400 sick and injured animals, many of whom are blind, paralysed, or bedridden, despite limited resources and challenging conditions.

As part of this initiative, the shelter was equipped and formally inaugurated with two blood testing machines: a Dry Chemistry Machine for conducting LFT, KFT, lipid profile, and electrolyte tests, and a Hematology Machine for CBC testing. In addition, a significant supply of essential medicines, vaccines, and animal food was provided. Through this comprehensive support, the project is expected to benefit more than 5,000 animals over time.

With a total value of ₹30 lakhs, this initiative stands among the largest projects undertaken by Westend during the year and has been appreciated by local authorities and district representatives.

Rotary Service Week – Senior Citizens Day
Lunch for 120 Elders at Kishangopal Rajpuriya Vanprasth Ashram
As part of Rotary Service Week, we had the privilege of serving lunch to 120 senior citizens at the serene Kishangopal Rajpuriya Vanprasth Ashram. The afternoon felt almost timeless—filled with gentle smiles, warm conversations, and the quiet dignity that only age and experience bring. Serving them was not just an act of service; it was a moment of deep gratitude and connection.
A special note of heartfelt appreciation goes to Our Rtn Nikhil Rajpuria who lovingly organized and sponsored the entire event. His generosity carries the spirit of true service—quiet, sincere, and deeply impactful. People like him remind us that kindness doesn’t need noise; it simply needs a willing heart.
Today’s gathering reminded us that honoring our elders is not an obligation but a blessing. We left the ashram with fuller hearts, inspired to continue serving with humility and compassion.

Thanks to the magnamity of Rtn Niranjan Jhunjhunwala, we Innaugrated the 7th floor to celeberate the 50th Anniversary of Niranjan Uncle & Sandhya Aunty. We also Innaugrated the 3rd floor ICCU dedicated to the memory of Late Nirmal Jhunjhunwala, late Jagannath Kamra & Late Bimladevi Chaudhary.. We thank our donors, Bharat Jhunjhunwala, Jitendra Kamra & Manisha Ruia & our partner Rotary club of Mumbai North End. Thanks to DG Rtn Manish Motwani for being the chief guest.
