Cancer Screening Camp at Kasturba Hospital

A Breast and Oral Cancer Screening Camp was held at Kasturba Hospital, in association with Dept of Preventive Oncolog,y Tata hospital.

All the efforts were taken by our great President Elect Sunita.

Nearly 102 staff of Kasturba Hospital took the benefit of this camp. The authorities of Kasturba Hospital were obliged for arranging this type of Camp for their nurses, staff doctors etc

Seven doctors from Tata Hospital were there. Dr Gayatri from Tata addressed the gathering and how one should be alerting detecting the changes in one's body.

Rotary Club of Mumbai Mahim celebrated children's day on 14th November 2025 at Chatrapati Shivaji Vidyalaya, Dharavi. On the eve of Jawaharlal Nehrus birthday several competitions such as sports, drawing, singing dancing etc were kept. All the students enthusiastically participated in everything and enjoyed a lot. RCMM also distributed prizes n cake to all the students. The children were very happy n enjoyed a lot. Pres Shaila, Rtn Seema, Rtn Jayanti, Rtn Nita, Rtn Umatai n Rtn Lalit encouraged all the students. RUIA Rotractors also arranged their sports n drawing competition.

On 5th November 2025 Rotary Club of Mumbai Mahim and Rotary Club of BKC hosted a Breast and Cervical Screening Camp cohosted by RC Khar, Juhu, Airport, Coastline at Laxmi Narayan Baug, Dadar. Thirty four women did Cervical Screening and thirty three did breast Screening. Thus the event was very succesful.

On 3rd November 2025 Crime Awareness Session was held at various places by different clubs as a part of RSW. RCM Mahim as a lead host had conducted two sessions.
In the morning frm 11:30 to 12:30 we had a session at Matunga Premier School. The session was addressed by Rtn Usha and PSI Amol Patil of Sion Police stn. It was a very good session. PSI Amol explained in a very simple manner about the recurrent cyber frauds. He explained how one has to be careful for paid online games and while operating accounts.

We had a second session at ICT College from 4 to 5 pm. Vice Chancellor of ICT Shri Anirudha Pandit also attended this session. He was going to stay for half an hour but attended the whole session for an hour. Both Gautam Mengle an experienced person in knowledge of Cyber frauds and PSI Amol Patil told the students of how frauds can be avoided and made the session very interesting.
Thus it was a very great day.

Rotary Club of Mahim have donated a desktop and printer to Sion police station. We had gone for the inauguration of this Laptop n printer.

The Senior Police Inspector Mr Salunkhe of Sion Police Station interacted with us very courteously and expressed appreciation for Rotary’s initiatives in community awareness and safety.

Our Rotary Club of Mumbai Mahim has organised interesting musical event as part of our fund raising for social projects to help the needy in weaker sections of the society.

The musical event 'Tasveer Teri Dil Mein' is on Saturday 8th November 2025 at Veer Savarkar Hall, Shivaji Park, Dadar West.

The songs will be based on movies of the famous actresses ( Divas) of Bollywood Golden Era . The rates and the details of contact person are on the flyer.

Rotary Club of Mumbai Mahim celebrated unique Diwali with sexworkers children. Social Activities Integration SAI situated in Byculla takes care of these children by coaching them in studies, sports crafts, computer training etc. For the last two years our club has given them the desktop and distributed faral to them. This year also we gave one desktop and distributed faral to these children. The children were very happy. it was thrilling to see their happy faces.

Rotary Club of Mumbai Mahim in collaboration with cardiologists of Gleneagles Hospital, had organized 'Walk with Doc' and CPR training at Shivaji Park near Udyan Ganesh. Udyan Ganesh Seva Samiti, Rotary Club of Bombay Uptown and Shivaji Park had also participated. Five cardiologist of Gleneagles Hospital namely Dr Rahul Gupta, Dr. Charan Lanjewar, Dr M V Reddy, Dr Punyapratap Singh and Dr Swaroop Pal had a walk with all of us around Shivaji Park. Rains did not deter us from having a walk around Shivaji Park. After the walk, Dr. Rahul Gupta n Dr. Charan Lanjewar advised, those present there, of how to take care of the heart in everyday life. Dr Swaroop Pal explained about the heart donation. Dr. Reddy n Dr. Punyapratap Singh educated us on how and when to give CPR, if a person suffers cardiac arrest. Rtn Dr. Nilesh Satbhai, n Rtn Sunita informed about organ transplantation. Nearly more than 100 people participated the same. Thus it was a very educative and successful program.
