The **Rotaract Club of Ramnarain Ruia College** proudly organized **"कृतज्ञता"**, a heartfelt celebration of **Guru Purnima**, dedicated to honouring the invaluable contribution of our teachers and mentors who continue to shape our lives with knowledge, wisdom, and guidance.
The event commenced with a warm welcome by the Masters of Ceremony Rtr. Mehul and Rtr. Harshali, who highlighted the significance of Guru Purnima and the timeless bond between a Guru and a disciple. The dignitaries were then invited to grace the dais, followed by the ceremonial collaring, the National Anthem, and the traditional Lighting of the Lamp, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge over ignorance.
One of the most sacred moments of the event was the **Paduka Pujan**, a tradition that reflects the immense respect and reverence for one' Guru.
The programme was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Leena Raje, Retired Principal of Smt. Maniben M. P. Shah Women's College of Arts & Commerce. Vice Principal Kamini maam and Sujata maam and Rtn. Sunita Ma'am President of our Parent Rotary Club, Rotary Club of Mumbai Mahim, along with esteemed Rotarian Vipul Sir. Their inspiring addresses beautifully reflected the importance of teachers in shaping individuals and society.
A special highlight of the event was the **department-wise felicitation of the professors**, where faculty members from every department were honoured with heartfelt appreciation and a small token of gratitude. As a keepsake, each professor was presented with a customised Guru Purnima card and a hand made flower, symbolising our sincere appreciation for their unwavering dedication and guidance.
During the Rotract President's Address, the inspiration behind **"कृतज्ञता"** was shared. The idea was born from cherished childhood memories of celebrating Guru Purnima in school and performing **Padya Pujan**, with a heartfelt desire to bring the same spirit of gratitude into college life. With the encouragement of family, the unwavering support of fellow Rotaractors, and the guidance of our Parent Rotary Club, this vision was transformed into reality.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by the Club Secretary, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, Vice Principal, President of RCMM, Rotarians, professors, volunteers, fellow Rotaractors, and whose technical support ensured the smooth ex*****on of the programme.
**"कृतज्ञता"** was more than just a celebration, it was a sincere expression of respect, admiration, and gratitude towards every teacher whose guidance continues to illuminate the path of countless students. The event served as a reminder that while flowers and mementoes are symbolic, the true **Guru Dakshina** lies in carrying forward the values imparted by our teachers and making them proud through our actions and achievements.
The programme concluded with a group photograph and refreshments, leaving everyone with cherished memories and a renewed appreciation for the Guru–Shishya tradition.
