Aims and Objectives
Hamlet to Globe is a non-profit and non-governmental Organisation which primarily aims to serve at different levels
of the society in all possible ways. The organisation aims to bring about a movement amongst the youth to serve the nation and society at large and thereby create awareness about the different sectors in the society such as environment, international politics, public policy, and international trade, legal aid, right to information, anti-corruption campaigns, free legal advice to the medical fraternity and free medical services to the under-privileged members of the society. Hamlet to Globe through these avenues aspires to awaken the conscious of the people and thereby aims to involve the young minds to bring about a change in the society. Through these projects, ‘Hamlet to Globe’ endeavours to create mass awareness to invoke and stimulate a sentiment lacking in the youth of today to be an active part of Democracy by participating in debates on policy formation thereby contributing to make the current democratic set-up vibrant. Educational Projects — Educational Intelligence
H2G through its Educational Projects primarily aims at first creating the awareness and successfully help the Govt. of India implement ‘Right to Education’. We also aim to improvise the educational standards of the schools, especially rural schools, by ‘facilitating’ the development of infrastructure. Under this avenue we will step by step implement the first project of Educational Intelligence, wherein the Head of the Institution can keep a track of every student’s and teaching staff’s performance, which in turn will facilitate the scientific analysis and study of each and every school, urban and rural, thereby facilitating the growth of the Schools at higher level. Environmentalism –
H2G under this avenue aims at first creating the mass awareness about the Environmental degradation and promote the use of Green Technology. Under this avenue we also aim to create a think tank amongst the students about the Environmental and Wild Life conservation and Protection Laws. We also aim to undertake the projects-research and litigation based, to improve the sanitation conditions of the urban India, for e.g the regularisation of the dumping grounds cleaning facility which generally goes unchecked, thereby giving birth to the epidemics and hazardous health conditions in the nearby localities. Women’s Rights/Feminism –
Through this avenue we primarily aim to educate women-the most deprived section of the society and provide them with adequate protection of Laws which are already enacted but are still dead on the paper. Legal Aid, Human Rights –
H2G aims at providing free legal services to the poor and helpless, protect the gross violation of Human Rights. Knowledge of the law is undoubtedly a powerful weapon of empowerment, and hence community service must form an integral part of every lawyer’s life. When better for a lawyer to imbibe this truism than in law school, and with just that in mind, through this avenue, though a humble beginning, a beginning nonetheless to reach out to the marginalized and oft forgotten sections of society and to provide them with, within its limited capacity, some succors. The work we do and we plan to do will give the member-lawyers and students, not only a lot of hands-on experience but also an enviable opportunity to do things and visit places, which would have been otherwise quite impossible to do. They get to experience the thrill of making a difference in peoples’ lives; they get a taste of the situation as it stands at the grass-root level in our country. We believe that the kind of exposure that students and members get while working for this avenue will help shape their thinking and motivate them to give back to the society when they set foot in the real world and are in a position to do much more. International Politics- Opinion Formation and Policy directions; International Humanitarian Laws –
H2G through this avenue aims to build up a network of young minds inclined towards global issues and aims to expand the knowledge in the field of International Politics, Diplomacy and International Relations. Moreover, through its workshops and lectures on the aforementioned subject it tries to empower the young minds to bring about change in the present public policy. Information Activism –
H2G through this avenue aims at creating a mass awareness about the Right to Information. Right to Information Act, has been till now instrumental in keeping Corruption and many malicious acts of the government at hold. By making people aware of this important tool, H2G aims to empower people and thereby put into motion a machinery which can effectively act as a system to keep a tap on the mis-deeds of the Governmental Machinery. Medico-Social Aspects –
H2G through this avenue aims at providing free medical aid to the under-privileged and periodically organise free medical advisory and diagnostic sessions. H2G through its well established network of Doctors and Advocates, also aims to educate doctors and patients about their rights and liabilities in their mutual relationship. Anti-corruption Drive –
Corruption being one of the worst termites, hollowing the Society and the Governmental machinery from within, thereby unfortunately making the common man suffer, hence H2G aims at creating a think tank amongst the professionals and students especially, and undertake active anti-corruption drives to eradicate it completely from the roots of the society.
