It is with profound sorrow that we at ASIRT (Association of System Integrators & Retailers in Technology) mourn the untimely demise of Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai.
Dr. Pillai was a revered thought leader, author, and mentor whose association with ASIRT has been deeply meaningful over the years. His enlightening series of sessions on Chanakya Niti in 2014 left a lasting impact on our members, and more recently, his Evolve Session in April 2026 once again inspired us with his wisdom, clarity, and timeless insights. His leadership continues to inspire us all.
He was also a distinguished academician, closely associated with the University of Mumbai, where he played a key role at the Chanakya International Institute of Leadership Studies (CIILS), shaping future leaders and bringing ancient Indian wisdom into modern leadership.
In his TechDay session, he left us with a thought that will forever stay with us:
“Don’t build a business just to hand it over to the next generation — build something that creates value and impact for the next hundred years.” This impactful interaction made us look forward to inviting him again for more sessions and ASIRT’s flagship event, Synergy, but destiny had different plans, and we lost him far too soon.
Today, while he may no longer be with us, we realize that Dr. Pillai himself has created exactly such a legacy — by passing on the timeless wisdom of Chanakya Niti for all of us to follow, practice, and carry forward for generations. His work remains a guiding light for our community.
His passing is a tremendous loss not just for the nation but also for the ASIRT community, where he was deeply admired and respected. His teachings and legacy will continue to guide and inspire generations to come.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. His loss is deeply felt, and we share in the grief of the community.
Praying for his soul’s onward journey. Om Shanti.
