This foundation was born in my heart & mind in the year 1991. It always existed in one way or another, through the years and now the Universe is bringing about a larger manifestation. With the grace of Meher Baba, it is founded in the memory of my Mother Nergish Nadirshah & my Aunt; a wonderful teacher and educator, Perin Nadirshah. So many teachers have worked and continue to work under depleted
salaries, meager or zero retirement earnings and have gone on to making so many of us, worthy enough, successful and financially secure and given us a stand in society, with a great future to look forward to, by imparting the best of education they had to offer. This foundation, will primarily grow through, kind donations from patrons and corporates, form a consortium of schools & colleges to become a yearly member at a nominal fee & look into applications from them, for helping needy ex-teachers & also give free or discounted education to needy and more importantly deserving children within the institution or sponsor in part/full deserving/potential underprivileged students who require financial support or admission in an institution. The foundation would also, cater to providing funds for medicals or medical support to ex-teachers and the under privilege children. The Foundation shall also collect old books from Schools, Institutes or Individuals & furnish the same to municipal schools, or poor children, street schools, night schools, etc. Meher Roshani Foundation is an endeavour, "To Give Back, From What We Have Got." Contributing or Volunteering to be a part of this, is not just another cause for charity, but it also helps each individual to think back of his or her roots, by remembering the beginning steps of their lives, which started with our Teachers. Those teachers who most individuals have forgotten and written off, teachers who have moved into the oblivion of our lives. They are the unsung heroes from the backstage of our lives, where we have been made capable of the glory of being in the limelight of the front stage of our lives. An engineer, doctor, lawyer, etc., wants their children to be what they are, but a Teacher too wants his/her child to be all of that, but Not a Teacher. The reasons have been more than obvious. Thus as time has passed, the quality of teaching largely, has come down from the passion of teaching to teaching as a means of only earning for the livelihood. To begin with the fund raising, we have created a lovely Angelic Concept Calendar with one of my dear Angel Students. The table calendar will have some beautiful Angelic Images, Powerful quotes & a Surprise aspect that will take it Beyond being just another Calendar. We will be having sample pages sent out on mail, FB etc., and will be printing Only as per order, since it is for a Charity Cause. The proceeds of these calendars, after all costs, will go to the 1st funds of the "Meher Roshani Foundation." This will then be a Yearly activity of the Foundation. So please come forward, we need You all to spread the word among your Organizations, Companies, friends, family, Social Networks, Bookstores, etc., for us to get a real large order. Your help will be deeply appreciated & remain as Gratitude forever. 26th September 2013 the Foundation Day of MEHER ROSHANI FOUNDATION, also happened to be a sad & happy day for me as; one of my best School Teacher Miss Geeta Bolar left us all for the heavenly abode. May her soul RIP. While another best Teacher & Principal of our School Mrs. Navaz Sanjana had her Birthday, which she spent with Miss. Bolar as promised the night before, but at her funeral. Time & Tide Waits for No Man. Let us come forward & cherish & help the ones who are in our Lives & have been instrumental in making us what we are Today & move ahead to further help the Younger generation of lesser fortunate ones who need our help. Our Mission:
The Foundation, aims to help the two extreme generations of our times; One which moulded us to be what we are - The Teachers fraternity; and the Other - The Young Future, the under privilege children, who we can help and mould, to make them what they can become. The mission is to reach and help these teachers by extending whatever facility or comfort to them, so that they do not leave this earth with a cringed soul for a seemingly thankless job they did all their lives, or of being forgotten and living in oblivion. Our Foundation will also try to help current Teachers from lesser fortunate backgrounds of the society, so that they can impart their knowledge with love and passion, without worries of their survival. The second part of the mission is to help children who are lesser fortunate, with their education or health/medical facilities and encourage the power of education across the different stratas of society. This would also include distribution of books, events and visits as required from time to time. Our Vision:
The vision of the Foundation is not just to help the past and existing Teachers fraternity, but also to encourage more people to realise their Teaching passions and become a part of the profession. We endeavour to encourage and sponsor Teachers training, Forum for Teachers & Children, Partner with Teach India and other such forums, Help to create helathy environments in schools and institutes, Impart empowerment training for teachers and children to build and strengthen not just their IQ but also their EQ (emotional quotient) and SQ (spiritual quotient), to handle life in a responsive manner, and ultimately make them Empowering Universal Citizens. To help childern from under privileged backgrounds by encouraging them to study and educate them to become what they can truly become as per their Highest Potential. The ultimate Vision of the Foundation is to have a loving and empowered Society which moves towards, Harmony, Love, Peace, Brotherhood and Oneness, through teaching, learning, sharing and growing. You can help us through various ways either as an Individual or a Corporate through your CSR Initiative. Your help could be in the form of:
~ Regular Donations to the Foundation
~ Donations for certain activities like Medical Camps, Medical funding for a Teacher or Child, Fees Sponsorship of a child/children etc.
~ Donations of good condition old books of your children, which can be distributed to municipal schools, night schools or needy children.
~ Donations of good condition clothes and toys for needy children.
~ To help us with contacts and references, in forming a consortium of schools and colleges/institutes for the yearly membership.
~ To help us in tie-ups with other key forums or platforms which can help us enhance our facilities.
~ To help us tie-up with doctors, hospitals and medical institutes for free medicals in form of treatments, surgeries, medicines etc.
~ To sponsor / help us in ex*****on of various events related to the Causes of the Foundation or for Events for Fund Raising purposes.
~ To order our Yearly Calendar every year & support other such activities of saleable items through the year, for fund raising.
~ Volunteer work for all such distributions, creating awareness, designing and maintainance of our website, designing flyers or promotional material for our Foundation and its activities from time to time.
