Rotary District Governor DG Chetan Desai, Inaugurates First Peace Pole in Mumbai at Rotary Club of Mumbai South Mumbai’s Mehta International Eye Institute
In a ceremony promoting global peace and understanding, Rotary District Governor, DG Chetan Desai, of Rotary District 3141, inaugurated the first Peace Pole in Mumbai at the Mehta International Eye Institute along with the newly elected Vibrant President Padmashree Rtn. Prof. Dr. Keiki R Mehta of the Rotary Club of Mumbai South, who is the Surgical Chief and the Medical Director of the hospital which is considered as Asia’s foremost Eye Institute, on 2nd July 2024.
This significant event marked the beginning of Rotary District Governor Chetan Desai's term and was presided over by Vibrant President Padmashree Rtn. Prof. Dr. Keiki R. Mehta, the newly installed President of the Rotary Club of Mumbai South for the year 2024-2025.
The Peace Pole, a globally recognized symbol of peace, stands tall at Mehta International Eye Institute with the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth" inscribed in multiple languages. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Rotary dignitaries and club members.
