Santosh Institute for Mentally Challenged and Autistic Children Institute for the mentally challenged and Autistic Children Santosh Institute was founded in September 2007 in Mahatma Gandhi School, Bandra.

Since then we have added various branches of sports clubs and schools. Details are as follows:

• 6 branches of sports clubs at Bandra, Kandivali, , Dombivali, Miraroad, vileparle, Belapur.
• 1 Swimming Centers at Goregaon
• 6 Schools at Bandra, Vileparle, Kandivali, Belapur, Mira Road and Dombivali
• Residential, Day Care and a vocational center at Bandra, Mira Road, Kandivali, Belapur and Dom

Approximately more than 280 students of Autism and other special children are taken care in the institute. The institute is specially setup for Autistic individuals,&physically and mentally challenged children. At Santosh Institute, Sports Club is first of its kind in Mumbai that caters to children with special needs. Here children of all age groups with any of the following: Autism, Mental Retardation, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disability etc. come together to learn and have fun. The basic idea for starting this Institute was to setup a centre where all indoor and outdoor activities would be taught to these children, which was not available in any institute. Secondly as children grow, they need regular activities to help them with their physical growth, to utilize their energy in a proper and meaningful way, to develop their social skills, to calm them down and regulate their night sleep pattern. Santosh Institute takes care of all these things.
