Udaan India Foundation

Udaan India Foundation is a Mumbai based registered not for profit organization working with children from low-income communities in the field of education

Our primary aim is to ensure that every child of school going age is gaining a strong holistic educational foundation to become a responsible, compassionate, confident youth of tomorrow. A child’s journey at Udaan starts at Kindergarten level, continues through school years and supports them until they become employable. The focus is always in making learning a continuous, joyous and voluntary experience for children, which inspires them to believe in themselves and take on the future with confidence. Through our work we hope to see perceptible changes in the following areas:
• Increased enrolments in school
• Decrease in school drop out rates
• Enhanced employability skills

Celebrating World Literacy Day

We celebrated World Literacy Day at one of our corporate partners office and the evening left me with some truly special moments.

We began with leaders sharing one book that has inspired them. And then came a beautiful surprise. One of our old students currently working with them, showcased our very own book — Apna Time Aayega. Published by Udaan India Foundation, the book captures the real stories, struggles and journeys of our students. He spoke about how these are the stories that inspire him, and then went a step further—he handed a copy of the book to every leader present. Seeing our students’ stories being recognized and celebrated in that room was incredibly heartwarming.

It was one of those moments that makes you pause and realise how much our young people are capable of when they are given the right exposure, opportunities and encouragement.

We wrapped up the celebration with leaders sharing inspiring messages—encouraging our students to follow their dreams, pursue their passions and believe in themselves, because success will follow.

A beautiful reminder that literacy is not just about reading words.
It is about finding your voice, understanding your possibilities and having the confidence to write your own story.

From Campus to Corporate: When Learning Becomes Transformation

We had the culmination of Career Catalyst batch, a Skill-Inc programme at Udaan India Foundation, designed to equip young people with the skills they need to confidently transition from campus to corporate. Our students spoke about developing a professional mindset, communicating with confidence, working in teams, navigating conflict, taking ownership, preparing for interviews, using AI as a professional tool, and understanding the corporate world through exposure visits.

What made it truly special was the emotion and conviction with which they spoke about these learnings. It didn’t sound like a list of skills they had been taught—it sounded like something they had actually experienced, internalised and grown through. And perhaps that is the real impact of a programme like Career Catalyst.

More than skills, it was about becoming the best version of themselves.
From learning → growing → experiencing → becoming career ready

Art That Speaks, Art That Inspires!

When creativity meets social awareness, powerful conversations begin.

Our youth and volunteers came together for a meaningful Canvas Painting Activity, using colours, creativity and imagination to express their thoughts on issues that matter.

From Mental Health and Gender Equality to Global Warming and Climate Change, every canvas carried a message—of awareness, empathy, hope and change.

What made the activity truly special was seeing our youth use art not just as a form of expression, but as a voice for the world they want to live in.

Because sometimes, a painting can say what words cannot.
And every voice, when heard, has the power to inspire change.

The culmination of our Digital Marketing Batch was a celebration of ideas turning into action.

Our young learners explored SEO optimisation, branding, logo design and social media management — and then applied these skills in the real world, helping businesses strengthen their digital presence and grow.

Some even took the leap to start their own online businesses.

A heartfelt thank you to Anurag Sir for leading such an inspiring learning journey!
