🎗️💗 CREATING AWARENESS. EMPOWERING WOMEN. SAVING LIVES. 💗🎗️

Today, Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast, together with the Inner Wheel Club, conducted an important Cervical Cancer Awareness Programme at Sane Guruji School.

Our PDC Dr. Jyoti Soneji addressed more than 150 mothers, creating awareness about cervical cancer, its link to HPV infection, and the importance of prevention and early detection. 🌸

The session highlighted two vital ways to protect women’s health:

💉 HPV vaccination: Vaccinating girls between 9–14 years can significantly reduce their risk of developing cervical cancer later in life.

🔬 Early detection: Regular screening, including liquid-based Pap smear testing, can help detect precancerous changes early, particularly in women over 35, allowing timely medical care.

The excellent participation of more than 150 mothers made the session especially meaningful. Their interest and willingness to learn and take preventive steps truly reflected the importance of such community awareness initiatives. ❤️

🎧✨ AN EVENING OF DREAMS, MUSIC & INSPIRATION! ✨🎧

10th September 2026 was a truly special and refreshing evening at Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast!

We were delighted to welcome Rahill Mehta — a young, immensely talented and internationally renowned DJ who represents a generation that dares to dream differently and has the courage to follow those dreams. 🌟

In a candid, “no holds barred” conversation, Rahill shared his life journey, his passion for music and entertainment, the challenges he faced and the determination that helped him carve his own path.

What inspired every Seacoaster was not just his extraordinary talent, but his passion, humility, perseverance and belief in the process. ❤️

His powerful mantra resonated with all of us:

✨ “Everything, every moment happens for a reason.”
✨ “Believe and trust the process.”

A DJ for all seasons, Rahill’s goal is to create a “Happiness Experience” for everyone through his music, mashups and infectious energy. 🎶💃🕺

The evening was wonderfully attended, and Rahill did much more than entertain us — he inspired us to dream bigger, believe in ourselves and have the courage to follow our own journey. 🌟

🌟❤️ A MEANINGFUL VISIT, A MEANINGFUL DIFFERENCE ❤️🌟

On 2nd September 2026, we had a very meaningful and impactful visit to Jagdale High School, Malad East — an experience that touched our hearts and reinforced the importance of serving where the need is greatest. 🙏

The school, a municipal school with approximately 110 students across primary and secondary classes, has been receiving support from the PP Ashok Chandavarkar Family Trust for several years. Despite challenges with basic facilities, the students and teachers continue their journey of learning with determination and enthusiasm. 📚

We were warmly welcomed by 45 girls and 38 boys, and the distribution of school uniforms was especially meaningful. Something as basic as a uniform can bring a child a greater sense of dignity, confidence and belonging. ❤️

Following the uniform distribution, snacks, muffins, Enerzal energy/electrolyte drinks and bananas were distributed to the students and teachers. The smiles and enthusiasm of the children made the experience truly special. 😊🍌

The visit also highlighted that continued support and additional facilities are needed to provide these children with a better environment for learning and growth.

👏 Three cheers to PP Ashok Chandavarkar ji and Mangala ji for their sustained commitment and dedicated efforts towards the school over the years. Your contribution is truly commendable. 🌹

🇮🇳✨ CELEBRATING THE SPIRIT OF INDEPENDENCE! ✨🇮🇳

On 15th August 2026, Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast joined hands with Rotary Club of Bombay West to celebrate Independence Day at KD NS School for Hearing Impaired Children, JVPD Scheme, Juhu. 🇮🇳❤️

The highlight of the celebration was an amazing cultural programme presented by the young students, beautifully choreographed around India’s history and the social evils that continue to challenge our society today.

Despite their hearing impairment, the students performed with remarkable confidence, enthusiasm and expression, leaving everyone deeply inspired and proud. Their performance was truly eloquent and a wonderful reminder that determination knows no barriers. 👏🌟

The event was graced by several Rotarian dignitaries. Our President Rtn. Dilip Thaker congratulated the children on their outstanding performance and encouraged them to continue excelling in every sphere of life. 🌹👏

A special thank you to Rtn. Anil Patel and Ann Ranjan Patel for generously distributing 140 raincoats to the students and staff, and to PP Ashok Mehra for sponsoring the cake snacks for everyone. 🙏💙

It was a truly satisfying and memorable Independence Day celebration — filled with patriotism, inclusion, service and smiles. 🇮🇳❤️

🌹🎶 FELLOWSHIP WITH A SEACOAST TWIST! 🎶🌹

At Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast, fellowship is never just about getting together — it’s about creating experiences that bring everyone closer! 💙🤝

6th August 2026 was one such truly unique evening — a soulful and energetic “Bhajan Jamming” Fellowship! 🙏🎶

What started as an evening of devotional music soon turned into a celebration of togetherness. Everyone joined in, sang along, clapped, danced and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. 💃🕺✨ The energy was so infectious that the fellowship went on much longer than our usual evenings! ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to our President Rtn. Dilip Thaker and First Lady Deepa Thaker for putting in so much effort, passion and enthusiasm to make this fellowship a grand success. 🌹👏

On 23rd July 2026, we had the privilege of witnessing a very special and memorable occasion — the Installation Ceremony of our newly elected President, Rtn. Dilip Thaker, held at the beautiful Club Mahogany Hall.

It was an evening filled with warmth, fellowship, enthusiasm and the true spirit of Rotary – Service Above Self. 🤝💙

Our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Aban and Ann. Trupti for meticulously planning and coordinating this important event with remarkable dedication and precision, ably supported by Varsha, Rakhee, Bindiya, and the many Rotarians and Ann’s who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.

🪑 GIVING FURNITURE A SECOND LIFE. GIVING CHILDREN A BETTER PLACE TO LEARN. 💙

Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast is proud to share a meaningful education initiative that brought comfort and dignity to children in three Zilla Parishad schools.

We received requests for classroom furniture from:

🏫 Zilla Parishad School, Parli
🏫 Zilla Parishad School, Karjat
🏫 Zilla Parishad School, Gathemal

Responding to this need, Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast facilitated the donation of surplus furniture from AVM School to these schools.

What was once surplus furniture found a new purpose — helping children who were often sitting on the floor to now have proper benches in their classrooms. At the same time, the initiative demonstrated the value of responsible reuse of resources, turning available assets into meaningful community impact.

📚 THE IMPACT

🪑 142 double-seater benches delivered
👧👦 284 children benefited
💰 Furniture valued at approximately ₹7.50 lakh
🚚 Transportation cost: ₹32,000

An additional 40 double-seater benches are scheduled to be dispatched shortly, further extending the impact of this initiative.

The project was led by PP Rtn. Jayanti Parmar, who ensured the safe and timely delivery of the furniture to the schools.

A sincere and heartfelt thank you to PP Rtn. Ashok Mehra for informing us about the availability of the surplus furniture at AVM School and for facilitating its donation to the Zilla Parishad schools.

For these children, a bench may seem like a simple necessity. But having a proper place to sit, learn and participate in the classroom can make the school experience more comfortable, dignified and welcoming.

⚽🎵 EMPOWERING YOUNG MINDS THROUGH SKILLS & TEAMWORK

Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast is proud to support , an NGO working to build essential life skills among children from co-educational schools where annual fees are in the range of ₹20,000–₹25,000.

Through engaging activities such as football, music and skill-based games like LEGO, children learn much more than a sport or hobby. They develop teamwork, leadership, communication, ethics, confidence and a sense of responsibility.

A particularly meaningful aspect of the programme is that every team includes both boys and girls, preferably in equal numbers. This encourages children to work together, respect different perspectives and learn from one another.

💙 Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast has sponsored 3 teams and committed to supporting these same teams for 3 consecutive years.

The cost of supporting each team is ₹1.05 lakh per year.

Through this sustained engagement, children learn to:
✨ Build confidence
✨ Share and collaborate
✨ Adapt to different personalities
✨ Take responsibility
✨ Celebrate success with humility
✨ Accept both victory and defeat with grace

These are lessons that go far beyond the playing field — skills that can shape how a child approaches life.

📚 MISSION SHIKSHA | EMPOWERING EDUCATION THROUGH TECHNOLOGY 💙

On 23 July 2026, under Mission Shiksha, Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast took another meaningful step towards supporting education by providing a laptop to Sanket Mahajan, who is pursuing his B.Tech at IIEST Shibpur, West Bengal.

The laptop was handed over by PP Rtn. Sudhir Seth and Rtn.Rajan to Rohan, Sanket's classmate, who will personally deliver it to Sanket in Shibpur.

For a student pursuing higher education, access to the right technology can make a tremendous difference — enabling better learning, research, assignments and opportunities.

We are proud to continue supporting deserving students through Mission Shiksha and grateful to everyone who helps us make such initiatives possible.

🌟 RESTORING SIGHT. RESTORING INDEPENDENCE. RESTORING DIGNITY. 👁️💙

Some Rotary projects make a difference.
Some change lives forever.

Our Cataract Surgery Project at Vansda, Valsad, was our Flagship Project for July 2026 and was also featured in the Governor’s Monthly Letter, recognising its meaningful impact on the lives of Adivasi elders.

For many elderly Adivasi villagers, deteriorating eyesight had gradually taken away their independence. Everyday activities became difficult, and access to quality eye care remained beyond their reach.

Through the Sant Ranchoddas Hospital at Vansda, Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast and the Inner Wheel Club pledged support for 260 cataract surgeries:

💙 201 surgeries — Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast
💙 59 surgeries — Inner Wheel Club
✨ 260 surgeries in total

On 21 July 2026, 130 cataract surgeries were carried out at the hospital.

But this project was about much more than the surgery itself.

Patients were transported to and from their villages and provided with free accommodation, nutritious meals, medical preparation and pre-operative care. Following surgery, they were observed for 24 hours and provided with medical attention. At discharge, medicines and nutritional supplies were also provided to support their recovery.

Led by President Dilip Thaker and First Lady Deepa Thaker, the visit to Vansda on 21 July included PP Rtn. Rajesh Shah and Mamta Shah, PP Rtn. Kishore Masurkar, Rtn. Vicky Prabhu, Ann Dr. Malinder Sabharwal and Rtn. Bindiya Chopra.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to PP Rtn. Rajesh Shah, Mamta Shah and the Dhanvantri Trust for giving us the opportunity to witness this extraordinary work and for their continued commitment to this noble cause.

🙏 And above all, our deepest appreciation to all Seacoasters who once again rose to the occasion and supported this initiative.

Because sometimes, the greatest gift we can give is not something we can hold in our hands…
