esults in social exclusion, making blind people vulnerable to abuse, poverty and early death. Less than half of all children who lose their sight will survive to adulthood. The figures appear overwhelming, yet providing help is simple. With these questions reverberating in our minds, Vision Foundation of India (VFI) took shape. Since 1993, with the Grace of God, and your good wishes and co-operation, the team at VFI has treated thousands eyes successfully. Since that date in 1993, till February 2015, VFI has examined 3,01,261 patients, and of which 86,415 were operated free of cost. We were able to restore vision to their eyes and give life a new meaning. We are not claiming anything; we know that the numbers are too miniscule in the totality of things, but we are proud that we made a beginning, and especially in light of the size that we are. We want to change these modest achievements, we want to go beyond hurdles, we want to remove burdens, and we want to succeed with success.
