If students are with you, why the need to mobilise them through college machinery?
Today’s Gen Z is not blindly following Rahul Gandhi, Congress, or its political agenda. The desperation to manufacture crowds is becoming increasingly visible.
At Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune, messages reportedly circulated through college WhatsApp groups urging students to attend Congress’ “Chhatron Ki Goonj” programme with references to attendance, buses, faculty accompaniment and even Rahul Gandhi’s presence.
Is this student participation or institutional pressure dressed up as political mobilisation?
Educational institutions are meant to empower young minds, not become machinery for political crowd-gathering.
ABVP strongly condemns any attempt to misuse institutional communication channels or academic authority for political mobilisation. If these allegations are found to be true, there must be an immediate, impartial inquiry and strict action against those responsible.
Students are citizens, not captive crowds.
Their attendance cannot be manufactured.
Their consent cannot be assumed.
