Our Story
Jeevan Jyot Cancer Relief and Care Trust is secular, non-political, non-government, non-profitable registered charitable trust founded on 6th July 1997 by Mr. Harakhchand Savla. Our intension is to extend necessary assistance to any human being irrespective of any caste, creed, society or religion. We provide food, accommodation, medicine (if available), and guidance for the treatment of cancer patients. We are working since last 26 years for the welfare of cancer patients in particular and for the welfare of society in general. Major activities: • Provide free/subsidized lunch & dinner to 600 patients at TATA Hospital, J.J Hospital and St. George Hospital respectively. Haldi- Dudh Yojna for 600 patients daily. • Awareness campaigns about cancer, blood donations and organ donations. • Mitigate and counsel local and outstation patients/attendants for medical process, lodging and boarding issues. • Counseling patients and their attendants. Rehabilitation of cured patients. • Veterinary services for injured birds and animals • Arrangement of free or subsidized rate medicines to patients. Free/subsidized prosthetic limbs and hearing aids for the handicapped. • Toy banks for child patients The 'Jeevan Jyot' trust now runs more than 60 humanitarian projects. The trust has expanded itself to 12 different centers throughout the country including Mumbai, Jalgaon and Calcutta. Mr. Savla has received numerous awards and commendations for his humanitarian activities.
