The Humsafar Trust The Humsafar Trust (HST) is India's oldest community-based organization (CBO) working on health & well-being of LGBTQ+ since 1994.

The Humsafar Trust was founded in April 1994. At that time prejudice and conventional Indian societal values prevented MSM and transgender Indians from getting effective health services. The initial focus of Humsafar Trust was on activism for providing HIV/AIDS health services to gay men but soon expanded to provide guidance, checkups, hospital referrals, confidential HIV testing, counseling, and outreach for the complete spectrum of the LGBT community.

Gender Sensitization Workshop with Jharkhand Police Officials:

The Humsafar Trust, under the initiative TRANScend and supported by the CSR initiative of Publicis Sapient India in collaboration with Uthhaan Foundation, conducted a sensitization session with Jharkhand Police officials in Ramgarh, Jharkhand.

The session focused on strengthening understanding of transgender identities and promoting respectful, rights-based, and non-discriminatory engagement with transgender persons. Discussions highlighted equal access to justice, protection of rights, and the importance of building trust between law enforcement agencies and transgender communities.
