Environment Day – Mega Tree Plantation Drive

Venue: Pankhesha Baba Garden, Ghatkopar West

Date: Thursday, 5th June 2025

To commemorate World Environment Day, District MH-1 Mumbai Pragati organized a Mega Tree Plantation Drive, planting 400 saplings—including fruit-bearing, flowering, medicinal, and ornamental plants with a mission to promote a greener and healthier environment

The event was graced by the august presence of AILC President Lyns Chandra Aroraji, District President Lyns Usha Talwarji, District Advisor Lyns Ranjan Galaji, Principal Advisor Lyns Dr. Manjula Gadaji, Vice President Lyns Dr. Meena Deoji and PDP Lyns Seema Ladageji

The saplings for the drive were generously sponsored by Activity Chairperson Lyns Monica Gada

District MH-1 Mumbai Pragati

On Monday, 17th March 2025, our district successfully installed five water dispensers at Smit Old Age Home, Bhiwandi. Additionally, we distributed biscuits and bananas to the residents, ensuring their well-being and comfort.

This noble initiative was graced by the esteemed presence of District President Lyns Usha Talwar, District Advisor Lyns Ranjan Gala, and Principal Advisor Lyns Dr. Manjula Gada, and was spearheaded by Activity Chairperson Lyns Monica Gada.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous donors: Lyns Dr. Manjula Gada, Lyns Jyothi Sanjay Mehta, Lyness Club of Bombay Mahul, Lyness Club of NRI Seawoods, and Ulwe Emeralds.

With 150 beneficiaries, this initiative was executed at a total cost of ₹57,300.

On Wednesday, 12th March 2025, at 12:30 p.m., we had the privilege of bringing joy and support to 146 girl students of Kamla Mehta Blind School through the donation of accessories, chikki, and bananas.

A heartfelt thank you to District President Lyns. Usha Talwar, District Advisor Lyns. Ranjan Gala, and Charter President Lyns. Prema Shukla for their invaluable presence and encouragement.

We're thankful to PST Team of Lyness Club of Chembur Smiles for witnessing this event.

✨ PASSION FOR EXCELLENCE ✨

📍 Venue: Medical Relief Trust, Bhakti Bhawan, Chembur
🎗 Project: Cancer Care

In a heartfelt tribute to International Women’s Day, District MH-1 Mumbai Pragati united in a compassionate initiative to support women battling cancer and their attendants. This effort aimed to bring smiles, strength, and hope, embodying the true essence of service and solidarity.

A total of 92 beneficiaries were supported through this initiative, with contributions amounting to Rs. 16,505. The project was generously sponsored by Lyness Soma Sinha, Extended Micro Member (Cancer Care), with the invaluable support of all club members. It was successfully carried out as an Extended Micro Project (Cancer Care) under the banner of Lyness Club of Chembur Smiles.

The event was honored by the esteemed presence of:

ऑल इंडिया लिनेस क्लब्स, डिस्ट्रिक्ट MH-1, मुंबई प्रगति ने डिस्ट्रिक्ट प्रेसिडेंट लिनेस उषाजी के नेतृत्व में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस पर नेत्रहीन महिलाओं के सशक्तिकरण के लिए साड़ी दान और ब्रेल घड़ियों का वितरण किया।
