Completed in 2006, the School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is one of Singapore's most celebrated academic buildings. Designed by CPG Consultants, the building is internationally recognized for its distinctive green roof, which seamlessly merges architecture with the surrounding landscape.

Spread across approximately 21,000 m², the five-storey building is home to design studios, digital media laboratories, exhibition galleries, lecture theatres, workshops, animation labs, photography studios, and collaborative learning spaces. The open-plan layout encourages interaction between students from different creative disciplines.

The building's most iconic feature is its sloping grass-covered roof, which functions as an accessible public landscape. Completed in 2008, the KAIST Academic Cultural Complex (ACC) is one of the most distinctive buildings on the campus of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Designed by internationally renowned architect Thom Mayne of Morphosis Architects, the complex embodies innovation, collaboration, and the future of academic design.

Covering approximately 53,000 m², the Academic Cultural Complex serves as the social and intellectual heart of the university. Instead of separating functions into individual buildings, the project integrates lecture halls, auditoriums, exhibition spaces, cafés, student lounges, faculty offices, and public gathering areas within one interconnected structure.

The building's dynamic composition of glass, exposed steel, and concretecreates a bold contemporary identity. Completed in 2024, the Nanchang Grand Theatre is one of China's newest cultural landmarks, designed by the Finnish firm PES-Architects. Located beside the picturesque Jiulong Lake, the 45,000 m² performing arts complex combines contemporary design with inspiration drawn from Jiangxi Province's rich ceramic heritage.

The theatre is wrapped in a delicate veil of translucent white ceramic louvers, creating a façade that changes character throughout the day. By filtering sunlight while reducing heat gain, the ceramic skin is both a striking architectural feature and a sustainable environmental solution. The building appears to glow softly at night, giving it the presence of a luminous sculpture on the waterfront.

🌉 BP Pedestrian Bridge | Chicago, USA

The BP Pedestrian Bridge is one of Chicago's most celebrated examples of contemporary bridge design. Designed by world-renowned architect Frank Gehry, the bridge opened in 2004 as part of the transformation of Millennium Park. More than just a pedestrian crossing, it serves as a sculptural landmark connecting Millennium Park with Maggie Daley Park while safely spanning Columbus Drive.
