Monolith Theatre wishes everyone a very happy 77th Republic Day.
On this Republic Day, we remember that the Republic was built on the promise of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity — not just as words in a document, but as lived responsibilities.
In times when questioning is often discouraged and silence is made comfortable, art and theatre must continue to speak. Theatre has always been a space to challenge power, reflect society back to itself, and hold difficult conversations that a democracy cannot afford to avoid.
At Monolith Theatre, we aim and bind ourselves to speak — to speak truthfully, responsibly, and fearlessly. We believe that remaining silent in the face of injustice is also a political choice, and one that art cannot afford to make.
As artists and citizens, we believe the Republic stays alive only when its people remain awake, engaged, and unafraid to ask: Who is this nation for? Who is being heard, and who is being left out?
This Republic Day, we stand for India — our nation, which we love deeply — an India where dissent is democratic, expression is protected, and imagination remains free.

Happy Republic Day
