Many Sanatanis have asked me why I have called Bhagwan Shiva as the Creator. Let me explain it here. In Hinduism, there is a concept of Trimurty- the trinity of Brahma as the creator, Vishnu as the preservator and Mahadev as the destroyer. Bhagwan Shiva represents this Trimurty as the Param Brahman or the Supreme Brahman. So He is Brahma as creator, Vishnu as the preservator and Maheshwar as the destroyer. Bhagwan Shiva is the Consciousness which is eternal. All the other dimensions in the creation- length, breadth, height and time are all created by Him to create the cosmos. When Consciousness is added to other four dimensions, living universe is created.
