On 23rd May 2026, at the Vivek PARC Foundation (VPF) organised MGX2035 Maharashtra Growth Accelerator, where we had the privilege of hosting Shri Kaustubh Dhavse, the Hon’ble Chief Advisor of CM, Government of Maharashtra for a deeply insightful session.

He presented a comprehensive perspective on Maharashtra’s evolving position as a global investment destination. Highlighting the concept of competitive federalism, he pointed out how Indian states today are actively competing to attract capital, industries and innovation. In such a dynamic environment, he emphasized that speed of decision-making, efficiency in ex*****on and policy clarity will be the defining factors for sustained growth.

He further elaborated on Maharashtra’s strengths from large-scale infrastructure development and expanding metro networks to the rapid rise of data centres, global capability centres, and emerging technology-driven industries. At the same time, he candidly addressed the challenges, reinforcing the need to act faster and smarter to maintain leadership.

A session that not only highlighted opportunities but also provided a realistic roadmap for Maharashtra’s future growth journey. Our Executive Director, Shri Vikram Sankaranarayanan was the moderator for this memorable interaction.

The Vivek PARC Foundation (VPF) and Mumbai Tarun Bharat (MTB) successfully hosted the ‘MGX2035: Maharashtra Growth Accelerator’ on 23rd May 2026, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders and key stakeholders for a meaningful dialogue on Maharashtra’s growth journey.

The event served as a powerful platform to discuss the state’s evolving economic landscape, with conversations spanning across infrastructure, investment, maritime development, energy, skill development and emerging industries. Each session highlighted both the immense opportunities and the real challenges that Maharashtra faces in maintaining its leadership position. One of the key outcomes of the event was the publication of the White Paper titled 'MGX2035 Maharashtra Growth Accelerator: The Global Investment Destination', bringing together perspectives on Maharashtra’s growth trajectory.

A key takeaway from the discussions was the importance of speed, ex*****on and policy clarity in the current competitive environment where not just countries, but Indian states, through competitive federalism, are themselves competing to attract investments and drive growth. The conversations also emphasized the role of strong infrastructure, port-led development, energy security and a skilled workforce in shaping a future-ready Maharashtra.

What made MGX2035 truly impactful was the depth of insights shared by our esteemed speakers, who brought practical perspectives, strategic vision and a clear focus on actionable outcomes. The event was not just about dialogue, but about creating direction ensuring that ideas translate into real progress.

Today, our team participated in the 'Circular Economy for Sustainable Maharashtra' conference held in Navi Mumbai - a key convening of policymakers, industry experts, researchers & sustainability champions working to accelerate the state’s circular transition.

The event, organised by the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and the Department of Environment & Climate Change, Government of Maharashtra, featured thought-provoking discussions on:

🎯 E-waste and tyre waste management
🎯 Digital tools for circular systems
🎯 Behavioural Nudge approaches to sustainable practices

We are proud that our colleague Amaraja Kulkarni contributed to the dialogue as a speaker, sharing insights on 'Towards Circular Economy of Maharashtra powered by data, digital tools & behavioural nudges.'
Her session highlighted how robust data ecosystems and human-centred design can shape more effective circular interventions.
