At Lok Seva Sangam, we believe that education and healthcare go hand in hand. 💙

As part of our continued efforts to support the overall well-being of children, we organised a *Medical Camp at our Education Centre*, providing students with access to essential health check-ups and medical guidance. 🩺👧👦

A total of *39 students benefited from the medical camp*, receiving timely attention and care to help them stay healthy, active, and focused on their education.

For us, every health check-up is more than just a medical visit—it is a step towards building a healthier, stronger, and more confident future for every child. 🌱✨

Together, we continue to work towards creating an environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive with the care and support they deserve.

AI is shaping the future, and learning about it should begin early. 💡🤖

Our tutorial students at Lok Seva Sangam Education Centre had an engaging session on *Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT*, conducted by a dedicated volunteer. The session introduced students to the basics of AI, how ChatGPT works, and the many ways these tools can support learning, creativity, and problem-solving.

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteer for inspiring young minds and empowering them with digital skills for the future. 🌱✨

Celebrating the heroes in white coats! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

On the occasion of International Doctors’ Day, our little stars stepped into the shoes of doctors through a delightful skit, showcasing compassion, care, and dedication. Dressed as healthcare professionals, the children beautifully expressed their gratitude for the selfless service doctors provide to our communities.

A heartfelt salute to all doctors who work tirelessly to keep us healthy and safe. Happy International Doctors’ Day! 💙🩺

On 11 June 2026, Lok Seva Sangam, in collaboration with Apex Hospital, organized a Ration Kit Distribution Program at Maa Hospital, Chembur, Mumbai, for leprosy-affected families from Chembur, Govandi, Mankhurd, and Kurla.

A total of 25 families received ration kits containing essential food items to help ease their daily challenges. However, this initiative was about much more than providing immediate support—it was an opportunity to connect with families, understand their needs, and encourage them towards a path of self-reliance and dignity.

The program was attended by Dr. Dilip Jani (Medical Superintendent), Ms. Deepali Wagle (Counsellor, Apex Hospital), Mr. Swapnil Jadhav, and Mr. Vinod Hiwale, Livelihood Program Coordinator, Lok Seva Sangam. Through their inspiring messages, beneficiaries were encouraged to focus on health, confidence, social inclusion, and economic empowerment.

The event also highlighted various livelihood promotion, skill development, self-employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities available for leprosy-affected individuals and their family members. Meaningful discussions were held on creating sustainable income opportunities and improving the overall quality of life of the beneficiaries.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Pradeep Randive, Ms. Meena Kamble, and Mr. Aniruddha Kule for their invaluable support and coordination in making this initiative a success.

Together, we continue our mission of empowering leprosy-affected families through compassion, dignity, sustainable livelihoods, and community development.

Leprosy is still reaching India’s children.

In 2024–25, nearly 1 child in every 77,000 children in India was newly detected with leprosy — a reminder that transmission still continues in our communities.

To fight this, Lok Seva Sangam is driving door-to-door leprosy detection campaigns, reaching vulnerable communities through early screening, awareness, and timely referral for treatment.

Leprosy is curable, and early detection can prevent lifelong disabilities. Together, we can stop the spread and end the stigma. 💙
