Diwali Delight at the Rotary Club, 15 October 2025

Lights that twinkled, hearts that shone,
Rotarians gathered, joy full-blown.
Families came in colors bright,
Filling the hall with festive light.

Games brought giggles, music swayed, Feet kept dancing, worries strayed.
Plates piled high with treats and cheer,
Toasts of friendship filled the air.

Laughter echoed, spirits soared,
Memories made, connections restored.
In warmth and love, we found our way—
A perfect touch to Diwali’s day!

Master of Ceremonies Ninad Patil enthralled the audience with his high octane dances and games!! Thanks to President Hemant Mondkar, First Lady Sharmila, PP Avinaash, PP Moha, and Rtn. Pooja for putting up such a well-organized show for all of us to enjoy. We had about 90 participants in the event!! Under the silvery spell of Sharad Poonam moon, our Rotary family shimmered with joy! 🌕✨

More than 75 hearts gathered - members and their families - draped in white, silver, and all things shiny, swirling like moonbeams on a festive breeze.
Romantic melodies floated through the air, sung soulfully by our very own stars, weaving magic and laughter into the autumn night.

The vibe was pure sparkle, the love contagious, and every smile reflected the radiant moon above. As tradition danced with celebration, old bonds deepened and new memories blossomed.

Here’s to the power of togetherness, sweet songs, and luminous moments beneath the full moon. Happy Kojagiri Pournima, Rotary style! 💫🌝

Thanks to President Hemant Mondkar, IPP Avinaash, PP Dr. Monika, PP Moha, Sachin for putting up such a well-organized show for all of us to enjoy. Thank you RCMP family for attending in large numbers and making it such a memorable event.

RCMP celebrated the auspicious festival of Navratri with traditional Aarti, Garba and Dandiya Raas on Friday 26th September 2025 at The Juhu Club Millennium. The vibrant evening was a beautiful display of culture, devotion, and the fellowship that is a cornerstone of the Rotary Ethos of “Service above Self”.

The event commenced with a soulful Aarti dedicated to Maa Durga symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. The air was filled with divine energy as Rotarians and their families participated in the ritual with great reverence. The photo of Maa Durga was specially created by our own Rtn. Dr. Monika Tandon for the event and the Pooja was decorated in a traditional way by Rotary Anns.

Following the Aarti, the atmosphere transformed into a vibrant cultural celebration

• Traditional attire: Attendees were dressed in colourful traditional clothing with Rotarians and their families wearing bright chaniya cholis and kurta pyjamas adding to the festive spirit.
• Garba and Dandiya: The sounds of devotional music filled the hall, participants of all ages enthusiastically joined in the traditional Garba and Dandiya Raas.
• Fostering Unity: The evening provided a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, strengthening the bonds among Rotarians and their families and fostering a sense of community unity.

The Navratri celebration was a resounding success, creating cherished memories for all attendees. This event not only honoured a significant cultural tradition but also reinforced Rotary’s commitment to community engagement and service. The joy, the devotion, and the sense of togetherness felt throughout the evening were a testament to the club’s vibrant and active membership.

Our speaker meeting on 12th September 2025 at Regency Hotel was highly interactive and very well enjoyed by all who attended. Our own Rtn Jyoti Dadlani was the speaker and she gave very good insights into Self care for Leaders and how your mental health should be your top priority. She did some interesting psychometric tests with all participants to identify mental health status and suggested some self care methods to improve mental health. She also shared the roadmap to set oneself for success !! One interesting concept was “Body Budgeting” which we often neglect. Overall the session was highly insightful and had lots of self improvement tips for everyone. Each of us took away some action points for ourselves from the session.

Rtn Jyoti Babladi gave the vote of thanks to our speaker.

The meeting was attended by 25 members.

Paediatric Heart Surgery – A Life Touched

RCMP has always supported Paediatric Cardiac Surgeries which can give young children with surgically correctable congenital heart defects a much needed second chance at a more healthier and definitely more productive life.

We have rightly begun the Inspired chapter of this ongoing Medical Service Project with a successful paediatric cardiac procedure done on a young 16 year old girl with moderate ductus arteriosus. The procedure was done at Bai Jerbai Wadia hospital in Parel, Mumbai.
Our young beneficiary can now pursue her dream to become a doctor.

Inspired President Rtn Hemant Mondkar and Inspired Club Treasurer Rtn Sunil Kulkarni visited the cheerful young beneficiary and handed over the sponsorship cheque to her elder sister.
Wishing her good health and a happy life, ahead!

Members of the Rotary Club of Mumbai Parleshwar came together to celebrate Raksha Bandhan in a heartfelt gesture of gratitude towards Mumbai’s frontline heroes – the brave Police personnel and fire station personnel of Vile Parle East. The event was marked by warmth and camaraderie, as Rotarians tied rakhis on the wrists of officers and firefighters, symbolizing respect, protection, and community bonding. Sweets and tokens of appreciation were exchanged, accompanied by heartfelt conversations acknowledging their tireless service. The celebration not only strengthened the spirit of unity but also conveyed deep appreciation for the courage and dedication of these brave men and women who safeguard the city and community every day.

The Inspired team dressed in traditional festive colours gathered at the Vile Parle East Police Station at 9:30 am to watch our brave hearts parade and sing the national anthem. The celebrations then began with tying rakhis made by our RCC members and bamboo rakhis made by the Vikramgadh tribals, on the wrists of the Vile Parle East police force. The station in-charge Shree Chimte graciously hosted our team at his office and exchanged ideas of how Rotary can help pass on the message of community safety and security among senior citizens and our young generations.

From there our team moved to the Vile Parle Fire Station and celebrated the occasion of gratitude with the men and women on duty. The fire station in-charge Mr. Prafulla Naik and Mr. Vikas Todkari hosted us at their office and shared their experiences of how self-awareness can help avert fire hazards.

President Rtn. Dr. Hemant Mondkar, First Lady Sharmila Mondkar, Club Secretary Rtn. Nitin Kharde were enthusiastically supported by IPP Rtn. Avinaash Mishra, Dir. Medical PP Rtn.
