Join for a life-saving opportunity!

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique that's useful in many emergencies in which someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped.

Statistics show that the earlier CPR is initiated, the greater the chances of survival. In fact, the American Heart Association estimates that 100,000 to 200,000 lives of adults and children could be saved each year if CPR were performed early enough.

A CPR + Basic First Aid Training Course will be held on 28th October 2023 in Mumbai Central.

All children start their school careers with sparkling imaginations, fertile minds, and a willingness to take risks with what they think.

That is why Governments and societies around the world strive to improve their education systems and ensure that all children and youths have the opportunity to go to school and acquire the knowledge and skills they need to lead healthy and productive lives.

Key inputs to the education system, such as curricula, teachers, and education infrastructure, help to improve the quality of education.

Studies have shown that students’ performance is enhanced in schools with better physical learning environments. Rotary Clubs, through them Rotarians and organisations around the world contribute in a huge way to this.

We at Rotary Club of Mumbai Elite were looking for funds to improve the state of schools in shambles. Murli Krishna Pharma graciously contributed CSR funds. They came up with their own identified project.

About 4000 people benefit due to this project executed at New English School, Village of Bambarde, Shirur Taluka run by Trust known as Shri Ambika Shikshan Prasarak Mandal. We laid paver blocks on the ground for a school in Pune.

I am sharing pictures of the school as it was before the paver blocks and as it is, is now.

The paver blocks were laid by Deva Shree Ganesha Enterprises. Mangesh Prakash Sarode, salute to you for putting up with my exacting demands and constant follow-ups.

Gratitude to RC Deonar who extended their support.

There are 1.2 million Rotarians in 35,000 clubs doing good all over the world. This network of clubs makes up Rotary International. Rotary, along with their partners, has reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent worldwide since the first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979. Rotarians have helped immunize more than 2.5 billion children against polio in 122 countries.

According to a new study released today by the Johns Hopkins Center for Civil Society Studies, with just 563 paid employees globally, Rotary International annually mobilizes volunteer effort equivalent to nearly 27,000 full-time paid workers. What is more, this study reveals that the efforts of Rotary volunteers save communities an estimated US$850 million in service costs per year.

How? Because we all Rotarians contribute money to projects. We commit out time, energy, expertise, experience, and goodwill for community projects and do not charge a pie even for administrative costs.

We take painstaking efforts to whet the vendors, materials, deadlines, processes and ex*****on.

So every penny of CSR funds contributed by the organization goes for the earmarked project.

I am sharing pictures of the ground before laying paver blocks and after laying the paver blocks.

Indebted to Satya Vadlamani, Murli Krishna Pharma Ltd. Grateful to Venkatachalam sir for coordination.

May the tribe increase.
