Plastic waste free temples - an initiative by Gururaja Sene👇
Gururaja Sene:
A team of 14 like minded friends formed this group in July 2015.
Purpose:
It was formed with two main objectives - Social and Spiritual.
On social front, we the team members contribute little amount of money every month and with money we support underprivileged girl children’s education.
On Spiritual front, we gather weekly (during COVID it was online thru Google meet) and chant Sri Raghavendra Stotra (Raghavendra AshTottara)
Initiative:
As the COVID19 restrictions are relaxed and the team members came up with a proposal of visiting a near by temple to chant AshTottara(Spiritual) to celebrate 7 years of Gururaja Sene. Not just chanting AshTottara, the team came up with a new initiative of “Plastic waste free temple”, an initiative to clean the temple premises.
To begin with, we along with our family members visited Sripadaraja Mutt, Mulabagilu (near Kolar). We had the darshan of Shri Narasimha Devaru, Sri Mukhyaprana devaru and Sripadarajara moola brindavana 🙏, took bath in pushkarni, chanted AshTottara. And after AshTottara, we along with our family members (including children) cleaned the premises of the temple.
A request to all:
So, let us practice visiting our temples along with our family members and also spend some time cleaning the temple premises.
