Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and they’re sponsored by a local Rotary club. This makes them true "partners in service" and key members of the family of Rotary. All Rotaract efforts begin at the local, grassroots level, with members addressing their communities’ physical and social needs while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.

A Night of Divine Light: Sahastra Deep Prajwalan! ✨🪔

The Rotaract Club of Vasco da Gama, in proud collaboration with our co-hosts—the Rotary Club of Vasco da Gama, Rotary Club of Vasco Port Town, Samraat Club Vasco da Gama, and Rotary Club of Synergy Passport—successfully organized the grand Sahastra Deep Prajwalan (Lighting of 2501 Oil Diyas)!

The spiritual and breathtaking event took place yesterday, November 9, 2025, at the Shree Narsimha Sateri Sansthan, Chicalim, filling the venue with a divine glow.

We were deeply honored by the presence of our Chief Guest, Shri Kamla Prasad Yadav, Sarpanch of Village Panchayat Chicalim.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the talented artists: Radhika Kurtarkar and Sakshi Bawkar, who created the stunning, intricate diya pattern. A huge thank you also to Prathamesh Patyekar for providing the mesmerizing drone shots and hyperlapse of the lighting ceremony!

This collaborative project truly embodied unity and service through light.
