Aroh Welfare Society Awareness of the importance of education is our greatest concern in a society where an unfortunate number is living in total ignorance.....

In recent years, we have witnessed a dramatic increase in the importance, number, and diversity of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). NGOs now impact policies and advance initiatives that once were nearly exclusively the domain of governments and for-profit corporations, and their humanitarian
service has become vital to the well-being of individuals and societies throughout the globe. In many

cases, NGOs have proven more adept than governments in responding to particular needs. However, with their increased importance comes increased responsibility. NGOs have the responsibility to be transparent, honest, accountable, and ethical, to give out accurate information, and to not manipulate situations for the personal benefit of their boards and staff. NGOs have a calling to go beyond the boundaries of race, religion, ethnicity, culture and politics. They have the obligation to respect each person’s fundamental human rights. With these strengths and principles in mind two inspired women, Mrs Abila Masood and Mrs Azma Asad took it on themselves to change the world by changing themselves first. The very purpose of the establishment of this organisation was to primarily set an example for women empowerment in the fact that it is run by women. In a socially challenged country like ours unfortunately for the lack of adequate education among a huge mass, such examples need to be set. The primary mission of the organisation is to create an awareness of the importance of education so as people have the desire to want education for their children and in a large number of cases even adults need it. At the same time providing free basic and primary education. Also the organisation takes it on itself to help people who can't access basic needs and amenities. It supports the physically challenged to provide them with wheelchairs etc. or the needy with quilts and blankets and where required inoculation for children. Awareness of the importance of education is our greatest concern in a society where an unfortunate number is living in total ignorance and hence all the related problems like unemployment, disease and social disorder among them and so Aroh Welfare Society strives to integrate self-development and service to others, balancing individual and public concerns, focusing on higher, broader, and more public levels of service.
