Cleanup Ramganga Campaign 🌊🧹, Week 202

Another Sunday, another step towards a cleaner Ramganga. 💙

Our volunteers once again came together with the same dedication and spirit that has kept this movement alive for 202 continuous weeks. Through collective effort and community participation, approximately 250 kg of waste was removed from the riverbank, making the surroundings cleaner and healthier for everyone.

Every cleanup is more than waste collection—it is a commitment to environmental responsibility, public awareness, and sustainable change.
🌱 Every volunteer matters.
♻️ Every effort counts.
🌊 Every week brings us closer to a cleaner Ramganga.

World Environment Day 2026 | Celebrating 5 Years of Cleanup Ramganga Campaign 🌊

Today was not just another event—it was a celebration of a five-year journey driven by dedication, consistency, and community action. 💙

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Parivartan “The Change” NGO, in collaboration with the District Ganga Committee, Moradabad, organized a special programme at Van Chetna Kendra (Deer Park), Moradabad, to mark the successful completion of 201 weeks of the Cleanup Ramganga Campaign.

🌳 The event began with a Nature Trail, allowing participants to explore local biodiversity and strengthen their connection with nature.

🎤 A seminar on River Conservation and Plastic Pollution highlighted the importance of collective action in protecting our rivers and environment.

🏆 One of the most special moments of the day was the felicitation of volunteers whose dedication over the years has transformed a simple cleanup drive into a people’s movement.

📖 The programme concluded with the release of the “200 Weeks of Cleanup Ramganga Campaign” book, followed by the Ganga Pledge and a signature campaign reaffirming our commitment towards environmental conservation.

From a small initiative to 201 continuous weeks of action, this journey stands as a testament to what committed citizens can achieve together.

We were honoured by the presence of:
• Sardar Gurvinder Singh Ji (Senior Social Worker)
• Mr Girish Chandra Srivastava (Range Forest Officer, Moradabad), Mr Manoj Verma & Mr Pushpendra Chaudhary (Deputy Rangers, Moradabad)
• Ms. Pooja Singh (District Programme Officer, Namami Gange)

🌊🧹 Cleanup Ramganga Campaign – Week 201

After achieving the milestone of 200 continuous weeks, our commitment towards a cleaner Ramganga River continues stronger than ever. 💙

During Week 201, our volunteers collected over 200 kgs of waste from the ghat, continuing their efforts to maintain cleanliness and spread awareness about environmental responsibility.

While carrying out the drive, the team also came across the body of a deceased calf (baby cow). To ensure hygiene and dignity, the volunteers carefully dug a pit and buried the animal. Sadly, such incidents are not uncommon at the ghat and highlight the need for greater civic responsibility and environmental awareness.

No matter the challenges, our volunteers remain dedicated to making the riverbank cleaner, safer, and more sustainable for everyone.

Every week, every effort, every volunteer matters. 🙌

Cleanup Ramganga Campaign – Week 200 🌊🧹

A major milestone achieved—200 weeks of continuous efforts towards cleaning and conserving the Ramganga River 💙✨

This journey has been possible because of the tireless dedication of our volunteers, who showed up week after week to bring real change at the Ramganga Ghat in Moradabad 🙌

Today, over 50+ volunteers came together and collected 1000+ kgs of waste, making this milestone even more impactful 💪♻️

More importantly, this campaign is not just about cleaning—it is creating visible behavioral change among nearby residents, encouraging them to adopt cleaner and more responsible practices 🌱

This is not just a number, it’s a movement built on consistency, commitment, and community spirit.

We sincerely thank each and every volunteer who has been a part of this journey 🙏💙
