RISE Foundation IISER was delighted to organize an insightful and inspiring session on *“Developing Novel Semiconductor Technology at Kolkata – Challenges and Opportunities”* under the MeitY GENESIS EIR Cohort 2 program.

The session was delivered by the eminent semiconductor expert Dr. Amitava Das, who shared his vast experience and valuable perspectives on semiconductor technology, IC manufacturing, deep-tech innovation, and the emerging opportunities within India’s rapidly growing semiconductor ecosystem.

We were thrilled to witness overwhelming participation from students and young innovators from IISER Kolkata, Kalyani Government Engineering College, IIIT Kalyani, MAKAUT & Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (BCKV). The enthusiasm, curiosity, and inquisitive interactions from the participants made the program extremely engaging and successful.

At RISE Foundation IISER, we remain committed to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and deep-tech awareness among young minds by creating meaningful platforms for interaction with leading experts and industry pioneers.
