During the month of May 2026, Hartek Foundation, in collaboration with the Family Planning Association of India (FPAI), Mohali Branch, conducted a series of health camps across rural areas and labour communities including Labour Chowk, Madanpura, Daun Sahib, and Village Mohali, reaching over 200 beneficiaries.
The initiative focused on supporting women, adolescent girls, labourers, and migrant worker communities by making essential healthcare and menstrual hygiene services more accessible at the grassroots level.
According to the National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5), many women and girls in India continue to face limited access to menstrual hygiene resources and healthcare support, increasing the risk of infections and poor reproductive health.
Through these health camps, free health check-ups were conducted, while sanitary napkins and were distributed to promote hygiene, dignity, and overall well-being among beneficiaries.
By bringing healthcare services directly to rural and underserved communities, the initiative aimed to encourage safe menstrual hygiene practices and ensure that healthcare remains accessible for every woman and girl.
Through this impactful month-long outreach, Hartek Foundation reaffirms its commitment towards building healthier, safer, and more empowered communities, because access to healthcare and menstrual hygiene is essential for dignity, well-being, and inclusive community development.
