Swami Vivekanand Shiksha Samiti

Swami Vivekanand Shiksha Samiti The objective was to pursue issues,
normally considered less important & insignificant, but hold instrumental value in ensuring
inclusion of marginalized.

Swami Vivekanand Shiksha Samiti (SVSS) is a grassroots nonprofit working since 1971 to empower rural communities through education, livelihoods, women empowerment, and child development—building dignity, opportunity, and sustainable change. SVSS is a Non-Political, Secular and Non-Profit Social Organization which works for the causes of
people of the marginalized sections, especially women, youth

and children. It was started by a large
congregation of like minded social activists, inspired by the philosophy of Swami Vivekanand in
1970, under the leadership of Sri Uma Shankar Srivastava.

Our recent engagement at BHU’s NSS camp highlighted how structured mentoring, institutional support, and community-driven enterprise models can unlock local potential.

Our sincere thanks to NSS and BHU for hosting a dialogue that aligned youth energy with rural transformation for enabling meaningful engagement between field experience and future changemakers.

Water powers life and agriculture drinks the world’s freshwater. Globally, agriculture accounts for roughly 70% of freshwater withdrawals, making water efficiency central to sustainable food systems.

In Uttar Pradesh, where irrigation relies heavily on groundwater, inefficient practices have pushed extraction rates to unsustainable levels with agriculture using about 9 out of every 10 litres pumped from beneath the ground.

Through our 2030 Water Resources Group supported initiative aligned with the Uttar Pradesh Govt's agenda, we’re scaling water efficient technologies like micro-irrigation that can save up to 40-80% water compared to traditional methods and boost crop productivity.

By combining innovative practice adoption, multi-stakeholder partnerships, and knowledge services for farmers, we’re helping communities manage water more sustainably, safeguarding their source of income, strengthening the ecosystem, and protecting this most precious resource, "Water".

Let’s rethink water, for life, for land, for our future generation!

Change does not happen overnight.

It happens when learning continues—day after day.

Each lesson, each school day, and each opportunity to learn builds confidence, resilience, and a path forward. Sustained education is what turns potential into progress.

Because lasting change is built through consistency, not shortcuts.

Standing together for better health.

Across underserved communities, many individuals delay treatment because healthcare remains out of reach. As a result, preventable and manageable conditions often turn into serious, life-threatening illnesses.

At Swami Vivekanand Shiksha Samiti (SVSS), we work to close this gap by enabling access to health check-ups, basic treatment, and preventive care at the community level—ensuring support reaches people before conditions worsen.

Your contribution helps bring timely healthcare closer to families who need it most.
Every donation strengthens healthier households and more resilient communities.

In City Block, a new chapter of empowerment just began.

Inside the Badlav Prerna Mahila Sankul Level Federation office, CLF Didis came together, not just to inaugurate a center, but to unlock opportunities.

The Enterprise Facilitation Center (EFC) is not just a space. It is a bridge, connecting rural women and men to government services, enterprise support, and digital solutions under one roof.

Here, CLF Didis step into new roles as local facilitators, leaders, and entrepreneurs, helping communities navigate schemes, access services, and build sustainable livelihoods.

Here their skills turn into confidence.
Confidence turns into income.
And income turns into independence.

As the EFC was formally launched by the Didis themselves, it symbolized what real development looks like, women leading change from the ground up.

This is not just a center.
This is growth taking root.
This is Women owning the space.
This is Swami Vivekanand Shiksha Samiti India in action.

A new year begins with renewed hope and shared responsibility.

As we step into 2026, we reflect on the journeys we have walked together and the lives shaped through education, dignity, and opportunity.

The year ahead is a reminder that meaningful change is built through consistency, collaboration, and commitment. When girls stay in school, when communities are supported, and when compassion is matched with action, futures begin to transform.

In this new year, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every child, especially every girl, has access to education and the chance to grow with confidence and dignity.

Thank you to our partners, donors, volunteers, and community members who continue to stand with us.

Wishing you a Happy New Year filled with purpose, progress, and impact.

One chance can change everything.

She did not need charity or sympathy.
She needed access—to a classroom, to learning, to possibility.

For many girls in rural India, education is not denied by lack of ability, but by distance, poverty, and responsibility. Before school, their days are filled with duties and compromises, while their dreams quietly wait.

When education becomes possible, something shifts.
A classroom opens more than books—it opens confidence, curiosity, and self-belief. Fear gives way to questions. Learning begins to shape a future.

Staying in school is not always considered easy. There are challenges, setbacks, and long journeys. But education gives girls the power to keep going—to grow, to try again, and to move forward with dignity.

Educate a girl. Change a life.

Support Girl Child Education Today.
Because education is not charity—it is a lifelong investment.
