We are proud to announce the successful restoration of the historic pond in Ferozepur Kaithwadi village, Ghaziabad. This significant project was made possible through the collaboration of Purva Foundation and Max Healthcare Institute Limited.
For generations, this pond—located beside the village temple—has been at the heart of local culture. It has served as a sacred space where women gathered annually for Pooja and rituals.
Unfortunately, heavy silt and pollution had disrupted these long-standing traditions.
This is about more than just water.
Our experience shows that restoring water bodies is not only an environmental effort, but also a revival of community life. By cleaning the pond and constructing new ghats/steps, we are helping villagers reconnect with their cultural heritage.
A heartfelt thanks to Max Healthcare Institute Limited and their team for their strong support and effective on-ground implementation.
Special gratitude to the District Administration Ghaziabad, whose vision for reviving regional heritage has guided us. Their holistic approach—seeing water bodies as vital pillars of cultural identity—has helped turn this vision into reality for the people of Ferozepur Kaithwadi and across Ghaziabad.
Together, we are not just cleaning ponds—we are restoring legacies. 💧🌿

On the occasion of Earth Day, Purva Foundation, in collaboration with Max Healthcare Institute Limited, organized a “Talab Utsav” (Pond Festival)—a unique initiative held in Firozpur Kaithwadi village of Ghaziabad to promote the restoration of our natural heritage and community-led conservation.

A special highlight of the event was the deep connection among community members, who enthusiastically shared their thoughts on traditional practices of worshipping ponds and trees. Guided by the village elders, we were reminded that protecting our water, trees, and Mother Earth is not just a modern necessity, but also a responsibility passed down by our ancestors.

To honor this commitment, we planted 200 saplings of native species around the boundaries of the village’s restored pond, helping ensure a greener and more sustainable ecosystem for future generations.

Special thanks to the residents of Firozpur Kaithwadi for their participation and enthusiasm.
Sincere gratitude to Mr. Abhinav Gopal, Chief Development Officer, Ghaziabad, for serving as a guiding force in advancing such grassroots initiatives.

Let us continue to honor our traditions by protecting our environment.

We are happy to share that Purva Foundation, under the Nipunshala Program, is working in collaboration with the Ghaziabad District Administration to transform early education.
By introducing STEM-based learning at an early age, we are not just teaching—we are nurturing curiosity and enthusiasm for learning among children. The positive impact of this initiative is clearly visible, with increased student interest in learning and a significant improvement in school attendance.
We sincerely thank all our partners and team members whose dedication and efforts have made this initiative successful.
We extend our special gratitude to Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for their generous support in making this initiative possible. Your support is the driving force behind this journey.
Together, let’s build a brighter, empowered, and tech-enabled future! ✨

At Purva Foundation, we are committed to restoring every drop of water and preserving our cultural heritage. We're happy to announce the successful restoration of the well in Amrala village, Block Bhojpur, Ghaziabad.
When we arrived, it was surrounded by solid waste with little left—but today, it stands as an eternal source of groundwater recharge, thanks to our dedicated efforts.
These traditional wells are vital for sustainable water access and our rich heritage. We urge communities to reimagine and protect them by efficiently managing solid and liquid waste.
A heartfelt thank you to Shri Abhinav Gopal, CDO Ghaziabad, for enabling this on-ground achievement.
Together, let's build a water-secure future!

It was a privilege to meet Byas Anand, CSR Head, and Sanjay Sah, Deputy Manager at Dabur India Limited. During the meeting, I had the opportunity to present a photograph of the pond restoration project carried out in Mommadpur Kadim, Ghaziabad, with CSR support from Dabur India Limited and implemented by Paurva Foundation. The entire experience was truly enriching and memorable.
As Ghaziabad does not fall under the MGNREGA scheme, pond restoration in rural areas remains a significant challenge. However, through the collaborative efforts of the district administration of Ghaziabad and corporate partners, remarkable progress has been achieved. So far, 185 ponds have been successfully restored, and approximately 80 more are currently under progress this year.
This initiative stands as a commendable achievement in the direction of water conservation and sustainable development in Ghaziabad.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the CSR team of Dabur India Limited for their hands-on approach, deep understanding, and continuous support in driving impactful work on the ground.

💧 Water, Trees, and the Circle of Life 🌳
This , the Purva Foundation team took a step beyond conservation by planting trees around our restored pond areas.
Restoring water is only the first step. By introducing native trees, we are securing the natural biodiversity—inviting insects, birds, and wildlife back to their homes. These elements don't exist in isolation; they complement each other to create the very ecosystems that sustain humanity.
At Purva Foundation, every action we take is driven by this inspiration: to enable biodiversity today so we can ensure a sustainable humanity tomorrow.
Let’s protect the sources that protect us.

Water has always been the heartbeat of our existence, bridging the gap between human life and nature. In India, this bond is sacred—from the composition of our bodies to the rituals that define our journey from birth to death.
But today, our "cultural roots" face a modern crisis.
To honor this spirit, Purva Foundation is proud to announce our latest initiative: the restoration of traditional wells in Ghaziabad.
While large-scale policies matter, we believe true change flows from the ground up. Whether it’s a historic stepwell or a small community source, every drop we save is a legacy we leave behind.

How can you lead today?
Reimagine your relationship with water.
Rethink your daily consumption.
Restore the practices that once kept our water bodies thriving.

We are thankful to the astute leadership of Shri Abhinav Gopal, CDO, Ghaziabad for his consistent commitment towards water stewardship initiatives in Ghaziabad.

This Day, let’s move beyond discussion and into action. Success in conservation starts with individual leadership.
