Today Purva Foundation got the opportunity to present its initiatives on water bodies restoration & conservation to the Sambhal district administration in UP.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Rajendra Pensiya, DM, Sambhal. The administration in consultation with Purva Foundation discussed the innovative concept of "One Village, One Pond". Under this concept, one pond in each village will be identified and converted into a sustainable pond.
The officials also discussed the ways to restore the larger biodiversity ecosystems to enable sustainability of the river basin areas.
Purva Foundation is sincerely thankful to the Sambhal district administration to provide with the opportunity to engage in a constructive dialogue on water bodies restoration & conservation.

The rejuvenation work of the pond located in the village of Amarala, Block Bhojpur, District Ghaziabad, was inaugurated under the social responsibility initiative of SSP Bottling ith “Purva Foundation “as the social impact partner.

The ceremony was inaugurated by the gracious presence of Block Pramukh, Bhojpur, Mrs. Sucheta Singh, SSP Bottling, Ghaziabad, Plant Head, Shri Shalabh Vats, Shri Lavkant Bhardwaj and the local community people, The guests along with the local villagers performed traditional rituals and prayers to mark the beginning of the project.

This pond had completely turned into a dumping ground, causing significant inconvenience to the children in a nearby school. Soon, this pond will take on a new form and serve as an excellent model for rainwater harvesting and good landscape for school kids.

It is due to the convergence of the political leadership of leaders as Mrs. Sucheta Singh, administrative leadership of Shri Abhinav Gopal & the community ownership of the local communities that leads to a sustainable environment ecosystem as such.

The restoration work of the “Bahar Wala Pond” in Village Suhana, Block Muradnagar is in consistent progress. This initiative is being carried out by “Purva Foundation” under the social responsibility initiative of “SSP Packaging Industries pvt. ltd”..

This area is a low-lying region. In the monsoon season water logging happens in the periphery region & causing floods in nearby fields and damaging crops. With the restoration of this pond, this long-standing problem of farmers will now be resolved. Complementing the water security of the village & Ghaziabad.

Moving forward through the rejuvenation of these ponds, we are contributing towards a clean, green, and water-secure future, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

💧🌿 “Every drop counts, every effort revives life.” 🌿💧
Today, Purva Foundation initiated the restoration of a historic pond located in Village Ramgarh, Greater Noida. The noble work began with prayers and rituals by the local villagers, marking respect towards nature and a new beginning. 🙏

This pond had been completely choked, halting the groundwater recharge for years. Now, through collective effort, it is being rejuvenated to serve as a hub for rainwater harvesting, ensuring that every drop of rain returns to the earth and secures water for the generations to come. 🌧️

In regions like Gautam Buddh Nagar, the declining groundwater level is a serious concern. It’s time we all unite to protect our ponds, lakes, and natural water bodies from encroachment and solid waste, for they are the lifelines of our environment. 💦

Let’s turn this effort into a people’s movement —
where every village, every pond, and every drop says:

A New Initiative for Pond Rejuvenation! 🌊
Today, Purva Foundation commenced the rejuvenation work of a pond located in Village Teodi, 7 Biswa, Bhojpur Block, District Ghaziabad. Until just a week ago, this site was being used as a dumping ground.

The initiative was formally inaugurated with traditional rituals by Bhojpur Block Parmukh, Mrs. Sucheta Singh, and the Foundation’s President, Rohit Sangwan

The groundwater level in the Bhojpur region is in the Critical Zone, which is a serious concern. In such a situation, conserving and storing maximum rainwater through ponds is a crucial step toward water preservation.

Whether it is surface water or groundwater, both are fundamental to human life. With this commitment, Purva Foundation, through community participation, is consistently working towards the sustainable rejuvenation of ponds.

भूजल सप्ताह के चौथे दिन ग्राम भोजपुर, गाज़ियाबाद में पूर्वा फाउंडेशन एवं भूगर्भ जल विभाग के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में जल चौपाल का सफल आयोजन किया गया।
इस अवसर पर लगभग 200 वर्ष पुराने पारंपरिक कुएं के पुनर्जीवन कार्य का उद्घाटन किया गया, जो वर्षों से पूरी तरह डंप अवस्था में था।
पूर्वा फाउंडेशन द्वारा ब्लॉक भोजपुर के सहयोग से इस ऐतिहासिक कुएं का जीर्णोद्धार किया गया, जो अब पुनः जल संरक्षण का उपयोगी स्रोत बन गया है।
इस कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथियों के रूप में उपस्थित रहे:
• माननीय विधायक श्रीमती मंजू सिवाच
• ब्लॉक प्रमुख श्रीमती सुचेता सिंह
• मुख्य विकास अधिकारी श्री अभिनव गोपाल
• एवं भूगर्भ जल विभाग, गाज़ियाबाद की नोडल प्रभारी श्रीमती सृष्टि जायसवाल जी, जिनके मार्गदर्शन में यह कार्यक्रम संपन्न हुआ।

Celebrating Groundwater Week 2025

Purva Foundation, in collaboration with the Groundwater Department (Noida Division) and Block Bhojpur, is organizing a ‘Jal Chaupal’ under the “Paani ki Baat” campaign on 19th July 2025 at 3:00 PM in Village Bhojpur.

This dialogue will bring together community members and local leadership to discuss the growing groundwater crisis, promote rainwater harvesting, and highlight grassroots solutions like pond rejuvenation.

With Shrimati Manju Shivach, MLA Modinagar as Chief Guest, Shrimati Sucheta Singh, Block Pramukh Bhojpur as the Guest of Honor & Shri Abhinav Gopal (IAS), CDO Ghaziabad as the Guest of Honor, the event aims to inspire collective action and deepen awareness around water conservation.

आज भूजल सप्ताह, जो कि 16 जुलाई से 22 जुलाई तक आयोजित किया जा रहा है, के अंतर्गत ग्राम पंचायत फिरोजपुर कैथवारी में "जल चौपाल" का आयोजन किया गया। यह कार्यक्रम जल शक्ति मंत्रालय के अधीनस्थ भूजल विभाग गाज़ियाबाद एवं पूर्वा फाउंडेशन के संयुक्त प्रयास से संपन्न हुआ।

जैसा कि लगातार भूजल स्तर में गिरावट आ रही है और गाज़ियाबाद का मुरादनगर क्षेत्र सेमी क्रिटिकल ज़ोन में आता है, ऐसे में जल संरक्षण और उसके विवेकपूर्ण उपयोग को लेकर जनजागरूकता फैलाना अत्यंत आवश्यक हो गया है। कार्यक्रम में रेन वाटर हार्वेस्टिंग (वर्षा जल संचयन) के माध्यम से जल संरक्षण तथा तालाबों के पुनर्जीवन पर विशेष चर्चा की गई।
