Act in 2010 for the purpose of providing compassionate service to the mentally challenged , disabled, autistic and under-privileged. Aastha started off from a small rented house in Kasarwada, Mapusa and subsequently relocated to the current premises to cater to the growing numbers of enrollment. Keeping the Holistic development in mind SIDDHAM, a vocational centre was started in 2014 to provide vo

cational and life skills. Physiotherapy Unit, Speech Therapy Centre, Better classrooms, Play areas and overall facilities were set up in the premises. Aastha has an ambitious growth plan chalked out to be the organization that provides comprehensive services for people with special needs under one roof. The acute need and yearning of numerous special children and their parents touched a few gritty individuals and their voluntary but zealous efforts led to the formation of Aastha Society and consequently, Anand Niketan, the school for special children came into being at Mapusa in June 2011

Anand Niketan started in a small cozy rented house at Kasarwada in Mapusa and was gradually nurtured and progressed through the grit of founding volunteers, patronage of well-wishers, sporadic financial support from donors and the passion and tremendous hard-work of the young and dynamic staff. A vocational skills center, Siddham, was started to make the students self-reliant by acquiring various skills that could help them gain employment. Overall Development of the students was impacted through the faculties of Music, Painting, Handicrafts and Sports according to their aptitude. January 2017 saw Anand Niketan shift base to a larger premises at Assagao and it could now spread its wings by offering all services under one roof of this well-furnished 8 room facility. This new premises currently houses the Vocational Training Center, Physiotherapy unit, Audio Visual Center, Admin Section, Classrooms and the upcoming Residential Block. Himself a luminary in social service, he was all praise for the achievements of Aastha. We are all striving to make Anand Niketan an exemplary institution in the service of special children. The challenges are many: More Classrooms, Residential Facilities, Sensory Park, Additional staff and equipment etc. The list is long but the all round help and support so far has also been energizing us to follow through our dream. Do you share our dream of making this World a better place for our special ones? Like us, do you also want these lovely buds to bloom, blossom and dance merrily in the garden of life? Then now is the time to Act. Your Act of Kindness is our greatest strength and will help us realise this Dream. Come join us in this noble endeavour. A Dream you Dream alone is only a Dream. A Dream you Dream Together becomes a Reality
