NCB Raids Franky Carvalho’s Residence in Mapusa; Three Arrested in Narcotics Case

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) conducted a raid at the residence of former Mapusa Municipal Council councillor Franky Carvalho on September 29. During the operation, officials reportedly seized a large quantity of charas and other narcotic substances. Three suspects — Pranil Shinde, Sunny Dhupdale and Shashank Bandekar — were arrested and remanded to three days of police custody.

Arabian Sea Drug Bust: Drugs Worth ₹3,000 Crore Seized, Five Pakistani Nationals Arrested

The Indian Coast Guard, Gujarat ATS and central intelligence agencies intercepted a suspicious Iranian dhow in the Arabian Sea, west of Lakshadweep. The operation led to the seizure of 526 kg of he**in and methamphetamine valued at over ₹3,000 crore. The vessel and crew were escorted to Mumbai for further investigation.
