Starting a series of workshops for promoting , Adah Foundation today organised the first workshop under the of the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India in partnership with Punjab State Council for Science & Technology at Govt. Senior Secondary School, Matti, District Mansa.
The event was attended by 50 students, 8 teachers and 2 community members.

1. The program was inaugurated by the village Sarpanch, Mr. Harkanwaljeet Singh.
2. Mr. Baljinder Singh welcomed the chief guests and hosted the event.
3. Mr. Kanwaljeet Singh, Sarpanch of Village Matti, addressed the students on the role of youth in creating a healthy environment.
4. Resource person Mr. Injinder Singh conducted a session on sustainable solid waste management, emphasizing the use of separate dustbins and the importance of source segregation.
5. Notebooks made from seed paper, eco-friendly pens, and jute bags produced by a local Self-Help Group (SHG) were distributed to all students.
6. Documentaries titled “Garbage Matters” and “A Plastic Story” were shown to the students.
7. Resource person Mr. Sukhjinder Singh informed the students about seed paper-based books and pens, and how plants can be grown from them.
8. Students participated in a tree plantation drive.
9. The chief guests and the school principal were honored with plant bouquets.
